Ms. Rozenva arrived home, feeling uneasy as she opened the door. Despite it being midnight, her entire family was waiting for her. It felt as though she was stepping into a den full of wolves; she viewed each family member as nothing more than hungry predators, except for her beloved sister. Her sister always understood her, respected her wishes, and loved her unconditionally, but she couldn't defend her sister because she too was treated the same way. The Rozenva family appeared perfect from the outside, consisting of a son, two daughters, a loving mother, and a caring father. However, no one knew the true identities behind their smiles. The youngest daughter, Evanna Rozenva, was compelled to work for the Emberlyn company to acquire something unethical, which they planned to use for blackmail. Their goal was to force the marriage of their eldest daughter, Diana Rozenva, to the crown prince of Emberlyn.
As soon as Evanna stepped into the house, maids rushed in to take her bag, files, and phone, quickly escorting her to her room for a bath. Within just a few minutes, she was dressed in a nightgown and came downstairs for the family dinner.
The entire family had been eagerly waiting for her return to start the meal. Although the Rozenva family officially consists of only five members, their dining table accommodates thirteen. This includes Evanna's mother and her lover, her father and his maid (who is also her birth mother), her siblings, her father's older sister and her husband with their two children, as well as her younger sister and her son.
Evanna sat down in the empty chair next to Diana and picked up her spoon to take a bite of her food. Her father scoffed. "Access? You still can't get that? I gave you all the passwords to the important systems, arranged for fake fingerprints, gave you money to bribe, and did everything else I could. But all you do is go there, enjoy yourself, and come back with excuses. What's surprising is that I've heard you actually work hard at that company."
"Father, it's just that the head of the company, who manages all the important transactions, is a very strong and honest man. I can't bribe or threaten him," she replied, her voice shaking.
