Chapter 1 - A new beginning

"I've always wanted to attend Greenville highschool. Now I get the chance to." Ammie said to herself while brushing her long brown straight hair.

"Hope things are different this time" she sighs while looking at her diary.

Ammie is a cast out in all the schools she attended. So this time she hopes things are different.

Her family just relocated to another City, so technically she changed her school to Greenville. She had always wanted to go to such an elite school, and now the time is finally here.

She has a super power of seeing what can happen in the next minutes. Her former schools, she was a castaway, 'cause everyone thinks she's a jinx.

She told a girl in her former school that she's going to be kidnapped. And it really happened, so people avoided her.

Even from small, what ever she says comes to pass. So she doesn't have any friends, as everyone avoided her.

"This time, I'm gonna keep shut. I'm not gonna tell anyone about what will happen. I'm just gonna turn a blind eye." She said to herself, while looking at the mirror.

She decided in her mind that she's never gonna let anyone know about her superpower.

But is that possible? Can she really do that?

"Ammie, aren't you coming down for breakfast?" Her mom said from downstairs.

"I'm coming mom!' She replied, and hurriedly carried her school bag.

Ammie is a girl of 17 years, completing her highschool education next year. She really hopes to complete her education without transferring again.

She is a tall, slender girl. Her skin is fair and smooth like glass. She has a pointed nose, a v curved chin, a sharp brown eyes with long eyelashes, and a small rounded mouth.

She looks so beautiful and innocent.

People that tried to get close to her, later avoided her when they got to know her.

Is it really her fault to have such superpower? No it's not, she was born that way. So she called it a gift.

And this gift helped her family lots of time to avert any disaster and crisis.

But to every advantage, there's a disadvantage, so she naturally adapted to that life of being lonely, but this time something inwardly is telling her to come out from her shell.

"Don't you know you'll be late for school?"Mrs. Williams, Ammie's mom asked, as she saw her climbing down the stairs.

"And here comes a student of the prestigious Greenville highschool." Alex, Ammie's younger brother said and claps.

"Alex!" Ammie grunted, as she sits at the dining table.

"What of dad?" Ammie asked.

"I'm here darling!" Mr. Williams answered as he walks to the dining area.

"Morning papa!" She greeted.

"Morning! My angel!" Her dad answered and patted her hair.

Her family is number one in her life, they are more than just family. They are her friends, her confidant.

Her family never made her feel alone, they always got her back.

"Aren't you late on the first day of school?" Her mom asked.

She checked her wristwatch,"OMG!" She exclaimed. " I can't be late on the first day of school. I gotta hurry." She said and took two sandwiches from the table.

"Your milk?" Her mom pointed.

" I pass! Alex can have it." She replied.

" Dad can we get going?" She hurriedly asked.

"Sure honey!" Her dad replied while munching his sandwich, and hurriedly gulped his milk.

"Bye sweetie! Hope you have a good time in school." Her mom said, and gave her a peck.

"And there goes the late student of Greenville highschool!" Alex commented.

" I really hope you get punished!" He said and smirked.

"Alex!" His dad called and gave him a mean look.

"You silly!" His mom pinched his forehead.

"Your team is not winning the football match today!" Ammie said and gives him a mocking face.

"You're so mean!" Alex said and pouted.

Ammie shrugged her shoulders and left.

Alex is a boy of 13 years. He's averagely tall, chubby and cute. But he's extremely mischievous.

He's an ace football player in his school, Rosas high.

Rosas high is a school for athletics of various field. He had always wanted to become a star footballer. They're having a team match today, and now his sister has jinxed it already.

Greenville highschool.

Mr. Williams stopped at the school's gate, and Ammie popped down.

"It's more magnificent than I imagined!"she exclaimed.

She did all her registration digitally, so she had not been to Greenville before. This is her first time in the school.

"Ammie! I hope this will be a new beginning for you." Her dad said and hugged her.

"I pray so!" She replied.

"If things get tough, you can always come back home." Her dad said.

"Alright dad! You should get going! I need to check in for my hostel." She replied.

"I love you!" Her dad said and drove off.

Ammie smiled while dragging her big pink leather box.

"This must be a new beginning for me!" She said to herself.
