As I lay in bed, trying to make sense of the stranger's note, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Where was I? And why was I being held here?
I threw off the covers and got out of bed, determined to explore my surroundings. The room was large and opulent, with high ceilings and lavish furnishings. But it was the windows that caught my attention.
They were barred.
I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized the truth. I was a prisoner.
I turned away from the windows and began to explore the room. There was a door on the far side, which I assumed led to the rest of the mansion. I tried the handle, but it was locked.
I was starting to feel desperate. How was I going to get out of here?
Just as I was starting to lose hope, I heard a noise outside the door. It sounded like footsteps, heavy and deliberate.
The door handle turned, and the door creaked open. A tall, imposing figure stood in the doorway, his eyes fixed on me.
"Good morning," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
I took a step back, trying to hide my fear.
"Who are you?" I demanded.
The figure stepped forward, his eyes never leaving mine.
"I am Victor," he growled. "And you, my dear, are a guest of the alpha."
I felt a chill run down my spine as he spoke. What did he mean? And who was the alpha?
