Long ago, when the world was on the brink of collapse, a group of children were sent to the realm of the gods. There, they bonded with powerful Eikons and returned as saviors, bringing peace to humanity. The shrine maiden calls it a noble sacrifice, but to me, it sounds like they were just thrown away. Worse still, one of those children was a boy offered up by his own sister. Did he resent her for it? Did she ever look back with regret? No one speaks of what really happened between them.
