The weekend went off almost too well. Olivia's ex looked properly jealous, Olivia was having the time of her life, and Jack… well, he was realizing he was in love with the woman he was pretending to be married to.
By the time they returned home, Jack had made up his mind. He wanted the real thing.
"Liv, I know you said you don't want anything serious, but… what if we already are?"
She hesitated, staring at him like he was a puzzle she couldn't quite solve. "Jack… I don't need a husband."
