Christina and Damian stand facing each other.The spilled contents a few papers and christina's bag are on the ground. The sunset bathes them in warm colors.Seconds stretched between them neither moved, neither spoke. Just the rustling leaves and the distant laughter of children in the park.
Christina quickly crouches down to pick up her things, her face slightly flushed.
Christina: ''I-I wasn't looking. I was in a hurry, and-ugh I'm really sorry!''
Damian kneels down to help her, handing her a paper and her bag with a smirk.
Damian: No kidding. I think you almost ran me over
Christina looks up, surprised, and then lets out a small laugh.Damian chuckles too. The tension begins to eases a little.
Christina: "Guess I'm more dangerous than I thought.''
Damian: "I'll be sure to watch out for you next time.
Christina dusts off her clothes,glancing at Damian, hesitating.
Christina: "Um... do you come here often?''
Damian tilts his head slightly, amused.
Damian: ''That sounds like a line,but yeah.It's my usual spot to unwind after work.''
A wide shot of the park, the sky deepening into shades of pink and purple. Christina looks towards the path she was running on, then back at Damian. She should go.she had something important to do. but for some reason... she didn't move.
Damian notices her hesitation,slipping his hands into his pockets.
Damian: You seem like you were in a rush.don't let me keep you.''
Christina thoughts: I sure they won't mind but then again it's my parents i'm talking about you know what i'm a grown woman I can do what i want.
Christina: Actually... maybe I can stay a little longer.''
They walk side by side down the park path, the city lights starting to flicker on in the background. The moment feels light,unplanned, but... right.
She had no idea why she stayed. But maybe-just maybe- it was the start of something new
