Chapter 1 - Beginning: The Day the Sky Shattered

The world ended in fire.

It began with a single crack in the sky—a jagged wound in reality itself. The people of Terra Sol looked up, frozen in horror, as the heavens bled violet lightning. An unnatural howl resonated across the lands, shaking mountains, and toppling cities.

Then, they came.

Monstrosities of nightmare poured from the rift—Chimeric horrors, winged abominations, armoured behemoths of flesh and bone. Creatures that defied logic and anatomy, their twisted forms reshaping the very concept of fear.

The Great Invasion had begun.

The Fall of Ardentia

Ardentia, the shining capital, was the first to burn. The city's towering walls—once thought unbreakable—shattered like glass beneath the monstrous assault.

Knights, mercenaries, and war mages rallied to the defence, unleashing their strongest spells and steel. Flames roared. Lightning cracked. Swords clashed.

But it wasn't enough.

The monsters were relentless, immune to conventional tactics. A single Dreadbeast tore through battalions, its shadow swallowing men whole. A swarm of Skitterfiends overtook the noble district, their serrated mandibles shearing flesh and armour alike.

For every beast slain, two more took its place.

The people of Ardentia fled in droves, trampling each other in the chaos. Those who couldn't escape perished beneath claws and fangs. By dawn, the city had fallen.

And Ardentia was only the beginning.

The Awakening of Power

Yet, from the ashes of despair, something awoke within humanity.

The first Awakened rose in the wake of the invasion. As if guided by fate, some individuals unlocked hidden power—gifts beyond mortal comprehension.

Some wielded flames hot enough to melt steel. Others became living shadows, slipping between dimensions. A chosen few bent time itself, moving faster than the eye could see.

And thus, the Age of Adventurers began.

New guilds formed. Dungeons emerged across the land, filled with treasures—and horrors—beyond imagining. The world adapted, and evolved.

But not everyone was so lucky.

A Useless Awakening

Liam Everhart sat in the dimly lit Awakening Chamber, staring at the flickering notification hovering before his eyes.

🔹 [Awakening Complete] 🔹

🔸 Class Obtained: Architect 🔸

Silence.

The Awakener, a stern-looking woman clad in ceremonial robes, frowned. "…Architect?" she repeated as if she had misread the words.

Liam swallowed. "Is that… a good class?"

The woman sighed. "It's… not combat-capable. You're an Architect, not a warrior. Your abilities focus on design, planning, and structure formation."

Liam's heart sank.

All around him, other awakeners cheered as their newfound classes flashed in golden light.

🔹 [Berserker] 🔹

🔹 [Storm Mage] 🔹

🔹 [Phantom Blademaster] 🔹

Liam's fingers curled into a fist. "But… I can still fight, right? Maybe I can summon something—"

"Not likely," the woman said bluntly. "Your stats are pitiful. Your abilities? Mostly useless outside of city planning." She shook her head. "I'm sorry. You won't survive as an adventurer. You should find another path."

The words cut deeper than any blade.

A useless class. No power. No future.

As Liam stepped out into the bustling city, adventurers rushed past him—warriors, mages, heroes. People with real power.

And he?

He was nothing.

Or so he thought.

Because in the days to come, he would uncover a secret buried within his class.

A secret that would change everything.
