He played a vital role in rebuilding, advancing, and flourishing the place where he was born and raised. He achieved all of this by amassing a fortune from his inventions, selling them to global corporations, and using the profits to uplift his hometown.
However, two years later, "Thomas" was murdered in his own home by the very people who appeared in the earlier flashback. These individuals were members of powerful gangs.
The reason behind his assassination was clear—by eliminating poverty, "Thomas" had disrupted the gangs' control over the city's people. The gangs thrived on the financial struggles of the poor, controlling them through exorbitant debts, loans, and bills. Once these financial chains were broken, the gangs lost their grip, and in retaliation, they took his life.
