Azadi was sipping on some cola relaxing in his home watching tv afterall I was the weekend and he had nothing else to do. After all what was a boy in middle school going to do on a Saturday besides laze around. Then the show he was watching was done. That was the end of the season and now he didn't really know what to do. So he got up from the velvet couch and went through the kitchen to head upstairs.
There he went to his room, It was a rather small room with his black framed bed in the right corner and a white comforter with blue floral patterns and the sheets were white. The floor was a dark auburn color and the walls were white and to the left of the bed was a black desk and a computer with a picture in the left corner of it of him and his two siblings.
Despite being brown skinned his older brother the middle child was rather light with a clean beard and wavy black hair along with a decent build and clear Dewey skin. His sister the eldest was brown like he was but about a shade lighter than him with long wavy to curly hair. Then there was him the youngest at fourteen with each of his siblings being five years apart. He was rather dark about the color of caramel but a bit darker with straight black hair that turns more curly the longer it gets for some reason. His eyes were an amber brown and his skin clear as he keeps himself kept due to his brothers nagging about it.
Now with the computer in the top left corner right next to the bed. It was truly barely any room in there. Oppisite of the bed was the closet on the wall and to the right was the door where he was currently standing. It was getting rather late, taking out his phone to check the time to find that it was already 5:00 PM and he looked out the window that was to the right of his bed to see that the stars had begun to spill out.
He grabbed something from his closet and put on the brown coat.
'It's the middle of December it'd be dumb not to put atleast something on myself.'
He made his way down stairs his parents weren't home as they usually work till 10:00 PM
He put on his shoes and walked outside his home.
'Why am I going out? Am I that bored?'
It felt like he was being lulled outside.
He walked on the side walk his mind wandering a bit.
'Huh the street lights aren't on that's strange.'
Actually there was a few weird things. Such as the fact it was hot on a winter night enough to where he unzipped his jacket. Only thing keeping him from taking it off was the cool breeze he felt but the breeze was stranger than the heat as when he looked around and the trees and bushes were completely unaffected by the wind.
Before he knew it he was in the park.
He looked at the time it was already 6:47 PM.
"I should head back ho-"
Before he could even finish his words he dropped his phone and stumbled.
He was looking at the grass where his phone had fallen allowing him to see the time again against his Home lock Screen of his pet Husky.
7:00 PM
'What?'
It felt like there was a pressure pushing him down and the world started to feel more and more staticky.
As if the world wasn't right.
He looked around he was the only one in the park but definitely not the only one outside.
He saw many people outside their house.
'Is it an earthquake? No what the hell am I talking about an earthquake doesn't feel like this.'
For some reason he wanted to look up.
And so he did.
He looked up at the black ink diluted by specks of white stars.
Then he saw it.
"What is that…" he muttered still unable to move from his spot due to still being pressed upon by something.
He saw something pulsating in the empty space in the stars.
'Actually now that I thinks of it why can I even see the stars in Wellington?'
Then the stars starting moving to where the darkness pulsated and the ten stars began coverging into the center and merging into a large bright star in the sky like a small sun minature burning in the night sky and yet the sky remained dark. It was like a full moon shining it's light upon us but instead of reflected light from the sun it was producing it's own.
'Beautiful…'
Then he no longer felt hot instead it was replaced by a cool feeling overtaking his body.
"Ahh…"
He let out a groan of relief and his body could finally move once more.
He almost collapsed but he remained standing looking down at the grass and picking up his phone before putting it in his pocket.
'What the hell is going on…'
He looked up at the glimmering star in the sky.
Rays of light scattering from its epicenter merging together.
And the.
BOOM!
He turned to the right to see that the parks play ground had been enveloped in a pillar of white light.
Then he heard ethereal otherworldly whispers lulling him over towards the light.
'This is the most obvious trap I've ever seen…"
He stared at the growing light that was devouring more and more in awe for a moment before he regained composure and began running away.
'I feel great for some reason… as if.'
The wind rushed by his face giving a sensation of pure joy.
'As if I have boundless energy!'
As he ran his way back home he felt fast.
Faster than ever and as light as ever.
Whatever energy that light gave out well, it was addictive.
As he ran he saw more and more pillars of light devour and apear he counted three in the distance and two in his city.
As more pillars of the stars hit the earth, his feet started to be lifted off the ground.
"Haha… Hahahahaha!"
Gravity was in disarray and the world looked as if it was ending and yet he laughed.
He laughed like it was best thing he had ever experienced.
He looked around and saw all the light were off and only he was floating in the air all the other people looked up at him as he flew above the houses.
"Hehe- Hahahaha!"
'It's like a dream! The greatest dream!'
He felt and sinking feeling in his chest but not that of dread but that of thrill.
He began accelerating through the air his feet sometimes touching the houses to jump off again feeling the wind rush by and his black hoodied jacket flail.
Till he no longer even touched the ground.
He was spinning in the air looking up at the stars as he flew.
From the way he spun the stars began to look like they moved leaving streaks of white eventually looking like millions of shooting stars.
As he kept looking up at the stars the ethereal voices kept singing a beautiful song into his ears. Then he saw splashes of colors streak the inky black sky no longer simply black and white but now filled with colors of deep blues, violets and purples.
Euphoric.
That was the only way to describe this experience.
"Hahahaha!"
It was as if he was high.
No it was more Blissful than that.
It was as if he was dreaming.
Dreaming the best dream he ever could.
And in that dream he laughed.
And as he laughed he too was enveloped by the white light.
With the largest grin his white pearly teeth glimmered in the light as he embraced it.
Devoured along with everything else.
