Chapter 2 - The Sage’s Offer

As Shisui stood awestruck before the Sage of Six Paths, the weight of the moment pressed heavily upon him. The ancient figure's presence was overwhelming, his wisdom and power almost palpable in the air. Shisui's heart raced as he awaited the Sage's next words, feeling that something monumental was about to happen.

"Shisui Uchiha," Hagoromo began, his voice resonating with authority and kindness. "the time has come for a crucial decision. The world is at a crossroads, and the balance of power must be maintained to ensure peace and stability."

Shisui listened intently, trying to grasp the full meaning of the Sage's words. "What do you mean, Sage? What decision must be made?"

Hagoromo's eyes, deep and wise, focused on Shisui. "For generations, the power of yin and yang has been passed down to those who can wield it wisely. In the current age, I would have entrusted my yin power to Sasuke Uchiha, believing he could bear the burden and use it for the greater good. However, the path he has chosen is one of darkness and vengeance, and it has clouded his judgment."

Shisui's breath caught in his throat. The thought of Sasuke, driven by anger and revenge, using such immense power was troubling. "Sasuke… he's consumed by his desire to destroy Itachi and everyone he believes betrayed the Uchiha clan."

Hagoromo nodded solemnly. "Yes. Sasuke's heart is burdened by hatred and pain. While he is strong, his soul is not yet ready to carry the responsibility that comes with this power. The path he walks will lead him further into darkness, and I fear he will lose himself completely."

Shisui's eyes widened as he realized the implication of Hagoromo's words. "But… if not Sasuke, then who?"

The Sage's gaze softened as he looked at Shisui with a knowing smile. "You, Shisui Uchiha. I have observed you closely, even beyond the veil of time and space. Your heart is pure, your will unwavering, and your loyalty to both your clan and the village is unmatched. Despite the hardships you've faced, you've remained true to your beliefs and have sought to protect others, even at great personal cost."

Shisui felt a wave of emotions surge through him—surprise, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility. "Sage… I'm honored, but are you sure? I've made mistakes too. I couldn't stop Danzo, I couldn't save my clan… I couldn't even be there for Itachi."

Hagoromo stepped closer, his presence radiating warmth and understanding. "Your mistakes do not define you, Shisui. It is your heart, your intentions, and your actions that have brought you here. You are a beacon of hope, a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is light to be found. That is why I have chosen you."

Shisui took a deep breath, feeling the gravity of the Sage's words settle within him. He thought of his clan, of Itachi, and of Sasuke—the people he had fought to protect, the sacrifices that had been made, and the path that lay ahead.

"If you believe I'm the right person, Sage," Shisui said with quiet resolve, "then I will accept this power. I'll do everything I can to use it for the good of the village, the world, and to guide Sasuke back to the light."

Hagoromo's expression brightened with approval. "You have chosen wisely, Shisui. This power is not just for battle, but for balance. With it, you will gain the strength to protect those you love and to help guide the world toward peace."

The Sage extended his hand toward Shisui, and a soft, radiant glow began to emanate from his palm. The light grew brighter and enveloped Shisui, filling him with a warmth that seemed to resonate deep within his soul. Shisui felt his body surge with energy, his chakra expanding and intensifying as the Sage's yin power flowed into him.

Shisui's Mangekyo Sharingans activated on their own, evolving rapidly as the power settled within him. His eyes glowed with a new intensity, the power of the Sage coursing through him, amplifying his abilities to their fullest potential. The power was immense, but it felt natural—like it had always been a part of him, waiting to be awakened.

When the light finally faded, Shisui stood taller, his presence more commanding than ever before. He could feel the strength within him, a wellspring of power that had no limits. The world around him seemed clearer, more vibrant, as if he could see every detail and understand every nuance.

Hagoromo watched him with a satisfied smile. "The power is now yours, Shisui. Use it wisely, and remember the responsibility that comes with it. The world is in your hands, and your choices will shape its future."

Shisui bowed deeply, his heart filled with gratitude and determination. "Thank you, Sage of Six Paths. I won't let you down. I'll protect this world and guide it toward peace, no matter what it takes."

Hagoromo gave a final nod of approval. "I believe in you, Shisui Uchiha. Go forth, and may your path be guided by wisdom and compassion. Oh and one more thing, Naruko will be the one to receive my Yang Power whenever she's ready, so make sure she's trained."

Shisui nodded in assurance. "Will do."

Suddenly a wise thought entered his mind and his eyes widened. "It was you who sent me forward in time.."

Hagoromo smiled at his cleverness and slowly nodded.

With that, the ethereal landscape around them began to fade, and Shisui felt himself returning to the physical world. The power of the Sage of Six Paths, the yin power, now coursed through his veins, empowering him in ways he had never imagined.

As he stood once more in the Uchiha Compound, Shisui clenched his fists, feeling the immense power at his command. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, and with the Sage's power, he knew he had the strength to protect those he loved and bring about the peace he had always dreamed of.

His journey was far from over, but now, he was more determined than ever to see it through to the end.

-Cutscene-

With the power of the Sage of Six Paths now coursing through him, Shisui felt an overwhelming sense of purpose. The immense chakra radiating from within made him feel as if the limits he once knew had been shattered.

However, he knew that this new strength came with immense responsibility. He needed to master it, to control it fully, so that he could use it to protect the world and guide those who had strayed from the path of light.

Shisui took a deep breath, calming his mind. He was still standing in the heart of the Uchiha Compound, the place that had once been filled with life, now silent and empty. It was the perfect place to begin his training—where he could push himself without distractions and reconnect with his roots.

He moved to a secluded area near the compound's edge, a place where he used to train with Itachi. The memories of their sparring sessions, their dreams, and their hopes filled him with a bittersweet nostalgia. But now wasn't the time for reflection—he had work to do. He made sure to activate a suppression seal around him so no one else would feel his Chakra.

After, he began by focusing on his chakra, feeling the vast reserves of energy within him. The yin power gifted by Hagoromo was unlike anything he had ever experienced. It was raw, potent, and incredibly versatile. He could feel it enhancing his Sharingan, making his perceptions sharper, his reactions faster, and his understanding of the world more profound.

To test the limits of his abilities, Shisui activated his Sharingan, allowing the power to flow freely. The familiar red glow of his eyes intensified, and he felt his visual prowess expand far beyond what it had been before. Every detail in the environment around him was crystal clear, and he could see the flow of chakra in the air and the subtle movements of the leaves as they were disturbed by the wind.

He decided to start with basic techniques, gradually working his way up to more advanced ones. Shisui performed a series of hand seals, channeling his chakra into a Fire Style jutsu. The fireball that erupted from his mouth was enormous, its heat and intensity far greater than anything he had produced before. It was as if the flames themselves were infused with the power of the Sage.

Shisui nodded in satisfaction, then quickly followed up with a Water Style jutsu, summoning a powerful stream of water from the earth. He marveled at how effortlessly he could manipulate the elements now, seamlessly transitioning from fire to water without any loss of control or strength.

Next, he moved on to testing his physical abilities. Shisui took a deep breath and vanished in a blur of speed, using his Body Flicker Technique. The world around him seemed to slow down as he moved with incredible swiftness, reappearing across the compound in an instant. The power had amplified his already formidable speed to an almost incomprehensible level.

"This power… it's incredible." Shisui murmured to himself, feeling the adrenaline surge through his veins. But he knew that power alone wasn't enough. He needed to refine his techniques, to ensure that he could use this power effectively in battle and in protecting those who needed him.

He focused next on his Susanoo, the ultimate defense of the Uchiha clan. Shisui's chakra flared as he activated the technique, and the spectral warrior took shape around him, towering above the compound. But this time, the Susanoo was different—it felt more solid, more complete. The yin power infused into it gave it an ethereal glow, and Shisui could feel its strength, both in defense and offense, had increased significantly.

The Susanoo moved with Shisui's thoughts, its movements fluid and precise. He tested its capabilities, summoning its weapons and channeling chakra through them. Each swing of the Susanoo's blade sent shockwaves through the air, and Shisui knew that with this power, he could protect even against the most powerful foes.

After several hours of intense training, Shisui paused to catch his breath. He deactivated his Susanoo and let the power recede, though it remained ever-present within him. Despite the incredible strength he now possessed, he felt more in control than ever. The power wasn't overwhelming him—it was merging with him, becoming an extension of his will.

As night began to fall, Shisui sat down on a large stone, overlooking the silent compound. The stars above twinkled faintly, and the moon cast a gentle light over the empty streets. He felt a deep sense of connection to this place, and to the people who had once lived here.

"Itachi.." he whispered to the night sky, "I don't know what drove you to do what you did, but I swear I'll find out. I'll protect Sasuke and the village, and I'll bring the truth to light."

Shisui closed his eyes, letting the cool night air wash over him. The journey ahead would be long, but he felt ready for it. With the power of the Sage of Six Paths within him, he knew he could face whatever challenges lay ahead and fulfill the destiny he had been chosen for.

As he stood up, ready to continue his training, Shisui felt a sense of peace and determination settle over him. He was no longer the shinobi who had fallen in despair; he was a warrior reborn, carrying the hopes of his clan, his friends, and the future of the world on his shoulders.
