Chapter 14 - Chapter 13: the Gift

"What's wrong?" Akira curiously looked at Geto.

"I can't absorb it," Geto said in shock.

Gojo Satoru and Akira both turned to look at the curse, then exchanged glances.

"Satoru," Akira spoke.

This time, Gojo didn't say much. He simply walked over to the cursed spirit, reached his hand inside its body, and pulled something out.

Earlier, using the Sharingan and Six Eyes, the two had observed something unusual—the cursed energy within the spirit was being drawn from its stomach.

"What is this?" Gojo was uncertain. He tossed the object into the air.

"Blue." A blast shot out, but to everyone's surprise, the object remained completely intact.

"What the hell? Even Blue couldn't destroy it?" Geto exclaimed.

Gojo caught the object again and tossed it to Akira, signaling for him to give it a try. Akira took the object and switched his eyes to the Six-Pointed Star Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Amaterasu." Black flames ignited on the object.

"How is it?" Gojo asked.

"It's no good," Akira replied. "Although this cursed object contains cursed energy, something is isolating it, keeping it sealed. Amaterasu can damage it slightly, but to completely destroy it… That would take at least thirty years, maybe even longer."

"What?!" The three of them exclaimed in shock.

However, unlike the others, Gojo remained calm. As the heir of the Gojo Clan, he was naturally privy to many things.

"What exactly is this cursed object?" Geto asked curiously.

"Sukuna."

Both Akira and Gojo spoke the name at the same time.

"Oh? Seems like Akira knows about this too," Gojo's interest was piqued.

"I just happened to pick up some information," Akira said nonchalantly.

"Alright then, time for Professor Gojo's Lesson!" Gojo announced with a grin.

"First off, Ryomen Sukuna was a mythical King of Curses with two faces and four arms, but in reality, he was a human—one that existed over a thousand years ago. During the golden age of jujutsu, sorcerers gathered to challenge him, but they all failed. That's why he was given the title Ryomen Sukuna. Even after his death, his body parts turned into indestructible cursed objects. These objects? They're his twenty fingers, known as the King of Curses."

"Sorcerers from a thousand years ago..." Geto murmured, lost in thought.

"Honestly, what really surprised me just now was that Akira's Amaterasu could even damage these cursed objects," Gojo remarked.

"That's true, but there's no need to go that far," Akira said as he extinguished the black flames.

Gojo and Geto exchanged knowing smiles. They understood why Akira had no intention of destroying Sukuna's fingers.

"Though, seriously, this thing is pretty useless. But still, is it really okay to leave it be?" Geto questioned.

"Relax, It's fine as long as it's in Akira's hands. Besides, it's just a finger. Even if Sukuna were to come back to life, it wouldn't be a big deal," Gojo replied carelessly.

"That's right. After all, we are the strongest," Akira said, looking at Geto.

"Hah... I really can't argue with you two. But yeah, you have a point. Even if Sukuna is revived, we're still the strongest," Geto smiled slightly.

"Anyway, since we're all out now, let's head back to Jujutsu High," Akira suggested.

"Hold on, Akira! How are we settling the score for locking us in Kamui?!" Geto asked darkly, glaring at him.

"Yeah!" Gojo chimed in, staring at Akira as well.

"You two punched me, too! Tch, let's just call it even," Akira replied.

"No way! You started it by trapping us!" Gojo retorted.

"Ugh, fine. What a hassle. I got it. You guys head back first—I'll catch up later," Akira said before disappearing.

"Let's go, I'm curious to see how he plans to make up for this," Geto patted Gojo's shoulder.

"Sounds good." With that, Gojo took Geto and Shoko back to Jujutsu High.

...........

That night, around 9 PM, in Akira's room…

The three of them sat around, bored. Gojo leaned back in his chair, propping his feet up on the table. Geto straddled his chair backward, resting his chin on the backrest. Meanwhile, Shoko sat normally.

"Seriously, Akira isn't running away, right? This is getting annoying," Gojo grumbled.

"Shut up, Gojo You've said that at least five times already," Geto sighed.

Hearing Geto's words, Gojo finally stopped complaining.

A short while later, a spatial vortex appeared. They all knew Akira had returned.

"Gojo, talking behind people's backs isn't very nice," Akira teased as he tossed something at Gojo.

"Whoa! It's Kijou Fuku! And the new edition!" Gojo's eyes lit up.

"But wait, isn't this only sold at the main store? And that's not even in Tokyo! Man, your ability is seriously convenient. I wouldn't dare teleport that far," Gojo said.

"Tch. You think this was easy? I nearly burned through my cursed energy," Akira scoffed.

"No way. Your cursed energy is still full," Gojo argued.

"Tch. Try teleporting from Sendai to Tokyo and see if it doesn't drain your energy," Akira shot back.

"But you barely used any!" Gojo countered.

"Tch. That's just because my cursed energy recovers insanely fast," Akira replied.

To be fair, the long-distance teleportation did take a huge toll, but running out of cursed energy? That was impossible for him. His recovery speed outpaced his consumption.

"Alright, let's go outside gift is a bit big," Akira said.

The others, now curious, followed him out.

On the training field…

"Kamui!"

Another vortex appeared, and from it emerged a massive cursed spirit—nearly ten meters tall, with an exceptionally broad frame. Its energy was on par with Geto's strongest curses, making it a Grade 1 spirit.

Its eyes bore the pattern of the Sharingan—clearly under Akira's control.

"Alright, you can start taming it now," Akira said.

Geto was moved by the gesture but didn't hesitate. He activated Cursed Spirit Manipulation, and the process was unexpectedly smooth—easier than even absorbing lower-grade curses. The massive curse compressed into a small sphere before Geto swallowed it.

To his surprise, there was no disgusting aftertaste—none of the usual repulsive sensation.

"Wait… why?" Geto asked.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Akira and the others looked at him, confused.

"This curse didn't have that nasty, vomit-like taste. Did you do something, Akira?" Geto questioned.

"Not sure. Probably my illusion techniques. Controlling it made it 'willing' in a sense, so I guess that removed the weird taste," Akira explained.

"Wait… Geto, what did those curses taste like before?" Akira asked.

"Like swallowing a rag soaked in vomit," Geto answered.

"So detailed… Wait, don't tell me you've actually eaten a puke-soaked rag before?!" Akira looked disgusted.

Gojo also stared at Geto in horror.

"Hahahaha!" Shoko burst into laughter.

"It was just a metaphor! Damn it, you guys!" Geto sighed, rubbing his temples.

"You wanna test the power of my new curse, Akira?" He smirked darkly.
