Haruyo Aoyama had zero interest in romance. His whole life revolved around writing fantasy novels, dodging deadlines, and staying locked in his room.
At 26, he was already a well-known light novel author, but that didn't mean he had time for relationships. His social life? Nonexistent. His romantic experience? A joke.
His younger sister, Yui, constantly teased him about it.
"Haruyo, you're gonna die single if you keep living like this~"
"Good," he'd always reply. "Less distractions."
Tonight was no different. He had a huge book signing event tomorrow, so all he wanted was to sleep early—but of course, Yui had other plans.
Haruyo stepped into the living room to grab a soda, only to find his sister giggling like a maniac on the couch. A BL manga was open on her lap, her face red with excitement.
"You're still reading that stuff?" he muttered.
Yui gasped dramatically. "Excuse me?! This is peak romance! The kind you will never understand!"
Haruyo rolled his eyes. His gaze landed on the manga's cover, and he paused.
The title: "Eternal Devotion: Fated Love."
The cover showed a beautiful young man surrounded by four ridiculously handsome guys.
Haruyo scoffed. "Let me guess. Some average dude gets spoiled by hot rich guys? How unrealistic."
Yui smirked. "You say that, but I bet you'd be the perfect main character."
"Ugh, please. I'm going to bed." Haruyo sighed, rubbing his temples. "I have a book signing tomorrow. Don't keep me up with your weird BL fantasies."
"Yeah, yeah. Blockhead," Yui murmured under her breath.
Haruyo ignored her, grabbed his soda, and walked back to his room.
Haruyo fell asleep almost instantly.
But when he woke up… something was wrong.
For starters, he wasn't in his room.
He blinked at the massive chandelier above him. The bed beneath him was too soft, too fancy. The air smelled like expensive cologne and fresh roses.
His heart pounded. Where the hell am I?!
He sat up and reached for his glasses—except, his glasses were different. The frames were thinner, more stylish. The prescription felt stronger.
That's when he caught his reflection in a huge, ornate mirror.
His jaw dropped.
Gone was his messy black hair and tired face. Instead, he saw soft blue locks and striking gold eyes. His skin was flawless, his body lean yet elegant.
And then… he remembered.
The manga.
The BL manga his sister had been reading.
The main character.
It was him.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me—"
Before he could freak out any further, the door suddenly burst open.
Four men rushed in.
Haruyo's breath hitched. He recognized them immediately.
The four love interests from the manga.
Riku – The quiet and serious one, dressed in a fitted suit.
Kaito – The flirt, hair slightly messy, wearing a loose silk shirt.
Itsuki – The playful rich CEO type, holding a cup of coffee.
Souta – The gentle childhood friend, looking like he was about to cry.
Kaito was the first to move. He sat beside Haruyo and pressed a hand to his forehead.
"You still feel warm," he murmured. "Ren, you really scared us."
Ren?
Haruyo's thoughts short-circuited.
Who the hell is Ren?!
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Itsuki chimed in with a smirk. "If you were trying to avoid work, you should've just said so instead of collapsing in my arms yesterday~"
Haruyo: "…WHAT?!"
Riku, standing by the window, frowned. "Ren, do you not remember? You had a fever yesterday. You've been sick."
Haruyo wasn't listening. Because at that exact moment, a bright red notification flashed before his eyes.
