Bloodlines of Betrayal: Celestia's Ascension – Season 3: The Heirs' Awakening
Inside the grand Devereaux estate, tension was high. Assassins lurked in the shadows, old enemies plotted in the dark, and a supernatural war loomed on the horizon.
But none of that compared to the real disaster happening right now.
Lucian Devereaux, the all-powerful vampire king, the shadow of the night, the feared ruler of the underworld... was currently babysitting Celestia and Draven's twins.
And he was losing.
"Alright, little monsters," Lucian muttered, glaring at Arianne and Vance, who sat in their oversized crib, staring at him with their unsettlingly intelligent eyes. "Your parents are out dealing with threats and, apparently, I-the great Lucian Devereaux-have been reduced to babysitting duty. So be good."
Arianne giggled, her silver eyes flashing.
Vance tilted his head and blinked.
Lucian narrowed his eyes. "I don't trust you two."
The twins had inherited way too much of their parents' power. Even as babies, their auras pulsed with untapped energy, and Lucian had a sneaking suspicion that they knew exactly how terrifying they were.
He crossed his arms. "We're just going to sit here and"
BOOM.
The chandelier rattled. A bookshelf tipped over. Somewhere, a window shattered.
Lucian froze.
Slowly, he turned his gaze back to the twins. Arianne sucked on her tiny fist, feigning innocence. Vance gave him a blank stare.
Lucian exhaled. "Oh, hell no."
He marched over to them. "Alright, which one of you did that?"
Silence.
Lucian pinched the bridge of his nose. "Fine. You want to play games? I've lived over a thousand years. You don't scare me."
Vance blinked.
Arianne giggled again.
Lucian suddenly found himself floating upside down.
"OH, COME ON"
The babies burst into hysterical laughter as the feared vampire king flailed in midair.
Lucian growled. "You two little demons"
POOF.
Lucian vanished.
A second later, he reappeared outside the mansion, hanging upside down from a tree.
The estate's guards turned to see their mighty ruler dangling from a branch.
A long silence followed.
Lucian sighed. "If you laugh, I'll rip out your hearts."
The guards immediately stood at attention, trying not to burst out laughing.
Just then, Celestia and Draven arrived back home. Celestia arched a brow at Lucian. "...Do I even want to know?"
Lucian scowled. "Your children are terrifying."
Draven smirked. "That's our babies."
With a snap of her fingers, Celestia freed Lucian, who landed gracefully on the ground, adjusting his coat with whatever dignity he had left. "Next time, I'm hiring a babysitter."
Draven clapped him on the back. "Oh no, cousin. You're stuck with them now."
Lucian glared at the twins, who were now staring at him like tiny overlords planning their next move.
Celestia sighed. "At least they like you."
Lucian grumbled. "They have a funny way of showing it."
Meanwhile, Arianne and Vance exchanged a mischievous look.
The chaos was only beginning.
twins have plans-The Royal Escape Plan
It was official.
Arianne and Vance Devereaux.Celestia and Draven's precious newborns were certified menaces to society.
Lucian, who had barely survived babysitting them, had declared them a national threat.
The palace staff? Terrified.
The guards? On high alert.
Even the wolves in Draven's pack gave the infants a wide berth, after one unfortunate warrior had tried to boop Vance's nose and ended up chased around the entire estate by an angry swarm of magically summoned bees.
And today?
Today was the day the twins planned their greatest mission yet.
The Great Escape.
Stage One: Distract the Overprotective Dad.
Draven sat on his throne, a mountain of paperwork in front of him. His wife, Celestia, had gone out to oversee the council meeting.
Vance and Arianne, nestled in their lavish crib, exchanged a glance.
It was go time.
With a dramatic wail, Arianne threw her tiny arms up. "Daaaaa!"
Draven's head snapped up so fast he almost broke his neck.
"Ari! What's wrong, baby?"
He teleported instantly to the crib, scooping her up in his arms. "Are you hungry? Cold? Did your brother bite you? Did someone breathe in your direction wrong?"
Arianne, now successfully held hostage in Dad's arms, snuggled against his chest and pretended to cry harder.
Draven panicked.
"LUCIAN!" he roared. "HELP ME!"
Lucian appeared in a swirl of shadows. "What happened? Did the castle get attacked?"
"Ari's crying!"
Lucian stared at Arianne, who was clearly faking it.
Lucian sighed. "...Draven. You're getting played."
Draven gasped. "My daughter would never manipulate me!"
Lucian crossed his arms. "Right. Then explain why she's peeking at her brother with that evil little smile?"
Draven slowly looked down at Arianne.
She was, indeed, grinning like a villain.
"...Ari?" Draven blinked.
POOF.
Arianne teleported out of his arms, landing back in the crib beside Vance.
Lucian snorted. "Yeah, you're doomed."
Stage Two: Summon the Reinforcements.
After the failed distraction, the twins changed tactics.
Arianne and Vance had power.
But they needed brains.
So they called in backup.
Or, as Celestia and Draven called them: THE UNCLES.
Minutes later, three powerful figures snuck into the nursery.
Dante Moretti, the infamous mafia boss, who had once ruled the underworld with an iron fist. Now reduced to a part-time babysitter.
Fenrir Nightshade, Draven's cousin and the most feared Alpha of the North. Who was somehow terrified of these babies.
Vladimir Volkova, a terrifying Russian vampire assassin. Who had sworn loyalty to Celestia, but secretly adored the twins.
The three deadliest men in the world stood before two tiny babies.
Dante crossed his arms. "Alright, kids. What's the job?"
Arianne giggled.
Vance clapped his hands.
Fenrir gulped. "Why do I feel like we're about to do something... illegal?"
Lucian, who had been spying, leaned against the doorframe. "Because you are."
Dante shrugged. "What's a little crime between family?"
Lucian groaned. "You're helping them escape, aren't you?"
Vladimir, who had already picked up Arianne, smirked. "You saw nothing."
Lucian rubbed his temples. "When Celestia finds out, she's going to kill all of you."
Dante grinned. "Yeah, but it'll be fun."
Vance raised his tiny fist in victory.
Mission: SUCCESS.
The twins' first crime syndicate was officially formed.
The Great Escape (Disaster Edition)
Everything was going perfectly.
The twins had their team.
Arianne and Vance sat on Vladimir's shoulders as Dante led the way through the palace halls. Fenrir, still terrified of the babies' magical shenanigans, nervously glanced around.
Lucian refused to be part of this nonsense, but unfortunately, his curiosity got the better of him.
So now, he was following them like a babysitter with anxiety.
"Alright," Dante whispered, smuggling the babies past two guards. "We need to get out of the palace without anyone noticing."
Fenrir frowned. "Why am I even here?"
"Because you're a werewolf," Vladimir muttered. "You can sniff out danger."
"I AM the danger."
"Then do something useful."
Fenrir grumbled but used his Alpha instincts to check for threats.
And immediately panicked.
"We have a problem."
Dante raised an eyebrow. "What problem?"
Fenrir pointed ahead.
Vance and Arianne froze.
So did everyone else.
Because standing in front of them arms crossed, aura deadly was none other than Queen Celestia.
And she did not look amused.
Stage Three: Operation RUN.
Dante, a trained mafia boss, had faced death countless times.
Vladimir, a legendary assassin, had seen horrors beyond imagination.
Fenrir, a fearless Alpha, had led his pack through brutal wars.
Yet all three men made the same decision.
They ran.
With Arianne and Vance still in tow.
"MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!" Dante yelled, sprinting for his life.
"Why am I involved in this?!" Fenrir screamed.
Vladimir, still holding Arianne, casually tossed her in the air before catching her. "Eh, this is fun."
Lucian?
Lucian just stood there, laughing his ass off.
Celestia vanished.
Then reappeared right in front of them.
The three idiots crashed into each other.
The twins betrayed them.
Arianne giggled and teleported into Celestia's arms.
Vance?
Vance did the unthinkable.
He pointed at Dante.
"He did it!"
Dante's jaw dropped. "YOU SNITCHING LITTLE "
Celestia activated her full power.
Dark energy flooded the hall.
Dante, Fenrir, and Vladimir were doomed.
Later…
Dante lay face down on the floor, groaning.
Fenrir was hiding behind a chair.
Vladimir?
Vladimir was upside down, hanging from the ceiling by an unknown spell.
Celestia, calm and graceful, held both twins in her arms.
"You thought you could smuggle my children out of the palace?" she asked sweetly.
The three grown men shivered.
Lucian, still laughing, leaned against the wall. "Best thing I've seen all year."
Vance and Arianne?
They didn't care.
They just clapped and giggled as their mother terrorized their uncles.
The Great Escape?
FAILED.
