Chapter 2 - Raven's Peak?

When Maya came to, she was lying on the cold floor of her office bathroom. She groggled, trying to remember what had happened. The memory of Lucifer's kiss, his words, seemed like a dream. She shook her head, trying to clear the cobwebs.

"It was just a dream," she told herself, stumbling to her feet. "Just a weird, crazy dream."

Maya splashed some water on her face, trying to shake off the lingering fogginess. She took a few deep breaths, squared her shoulders, and stepped out of the bathroom.

The rest of the day passed in a blur. Maya went through the motions, trying to focus on her work. But her mind kept wandering back to the dream. Lucifer's eyes, his lips, his dominant tone...

It wasn't until the news of John's death reached her that Maya's world came crashing down. She felt a pang of guilt, of regret, for not being able to save him.

As the day drew to a close, Maya trudged back to her apartment, feeling drained, emotionally exhausted. She just wanted to forget, to erase the memories of the day.

But as she stepped into her apartment, she felt a sudden chill run down her spine. She sensed a presence, a presence that made her skin crawl.

And then, she saw him. Lucifer. Standing by the window, his eyes fixed intently on her.

Maya's heart skipped a beat as Lucifer stepped forward, his movements fluid, predatory. She tried to step back, but her legs felt like lead.

As Maya watched, frozen in terror, Lucifer stepped closer, a sly smile spreading across his face.

"Hello again, Maya," he said, his voice dripping with amusement.

Maya's eyes widened, and she stumbled backward, tripping over her own feet. She landed hard on the floor, tears streaming down her face.

"Who are you?" Maya sobbed, her body shaking uncontrollably.

Lucifer's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"I am Lucifer, the Fallen," he said, his voice low and husky. "And you, Maya... are mine."

Maya's eyes flashed with defiance, but Lucifer just chuckled.

"What am I to you?" Maya asked, her voice trembling.

Lucifer's eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and he leaned in close, his breath dancing across her skin.

"You're my anchor," he whispered, his voice dripping with seduction. "My tether to the world of the living."

Maya's eyes widened, her mind reeling with questions. But Lucifer just smiled, his eyes glinting with teasing.

"I'll tell you more, Maya," he said, his voice low and husky. "But only if you're willing to pay the price."

Maya hesitated, unsure of what to do. But Lucifer's eyes seemed to draw her in, and she felt a shiver run down her spine.

"What do you want?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Lucifer's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with anticipation.

"Oh, Maya," he said, his voice dripping with seduction. "I want so many things from you. But for now... let's just say I want you."

Maya's eyes widened in shock, and she tried to pull away. But Lucifer's grip was like a vice, and he leaned in close, his lips brushing against hers.

"You're a virgin, aren't you, Maya?" he whispered, his breath dancing across her skin. "I can smell it on you."

Maya's face burned with shame, and she tried to push Lucifer away. But he just laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Don't worry, Maya," he said, his voice dripping with seduction. "I'll take care of that soon enough."

"For now, I just want your obedience," Lucifer said, his eyes glinting with dominance.

Maya let out a sigh of relief, thinking she'd dodged a bullet. But Lucifer's eyes seemed to gleam with amusement, and he leaned in close, his lips brushing against hers.

Maya's eyes widened in shock, and she tried to pull away. But Lucifer's grip was like a vice, and he deepened the kiss, his tongue dancing across hers.

Maya's body flamed up with desire, and she felt a rush of wetness between her legs. She tried to fight it, but Lucifer's kiss was like a spark to dry kindling, and she felt herself getting lost in the sensation.

Maya's eyes narrowed. "What do you want from me?" she demanded.

Lucifer's smile grew wider, but he didn't answer. Instead, he leaned in close, his breath dancing across her skin.

"You see things, don't you, Maya?" he whispered, his voice low and husky.

Maya's eyes flashed with wariness. "What are you talking about?" she asked, trying to keep her tone neutral.

Lucifer chuckled, but didn't elaborate. "You're curious, I can see that," he said, his eyes glinting with amusement. "But curiosity comes at a price, Maya."

Maya's eyes widened, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Lucifer leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her ear. "Ask me, Maya," he whispered. "But be warned, the answer may not be what you expect."

Maya's mind racing, she pulled back and looked Lucifer straight in the eye. "What do you see in me?" she asked, her voice firm.

Lucifer's smile grew wider, but he didn't answer. Instead, he leaned in close, his lips brushing against hers. "That's a question for another time, Maya," he whispered, before pulling back and disappearing into the night.

Maya's eyes widened, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. What had just happened? And what did Lucifer want from her?

Maya's eyes scanned the darkness, but Lucifer was gone. She was left standing alone, her heart racing with anticipation.

"What just happened?" she muttered to herself, trying to process the events of the past few minutes.

But as she turned to walk away, she heard a faint whisper in her ear.

"Ask, Maya."

Maya spun around, but there was no one there. The whisper seemed to come from all around her, echoing off the buildings.

"Why me?" Maya shouted into the night, her voice echoing off the buildings.

There was no answer, but Maya could sense Lucifer's presence, lurking just out of sight.

"Fine," Maya muttered to herself. "If you want to play games, I'll play."

She took a deep breath and shouted into the night, "What do you want from me?"

The only response was silence. But Maya could sense Lucifer's eyes on her, watching her, waiting for her next move.

Maya stood there for what felt like an eternity, waiting for a response. But the silence was deafening.

Just as she was about to give up, a faint breeze rustled the leaves, and a piece of paper fluttered to the ground in front of her.

Maya picked it up, her heart racing as she read the message scrawled on it:

"Meet me at 1313 Raven's Peak. Tommorow midnight"

Maya's eyes widened as she realized that Lucifer must have left the note. But why?

And what did he want from her?

Maya's eyes widened as she realized that she had heard of Raven's Peak before. It was an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town, a place where the locals avoided.

What did Lucifer want from her at Raven's Peak?
