"I stumble into your tar trap.."

Rapunzel had just watched her friend Varian collapse out of no where and she ran to his side, witnessing him as he shook violently and a light blue color began to consume Varian's eyes. "Varian! What??" She exclaimed. "P-Princess! It.. It hurts.. I-I don't know what is happening to me.." He choked out, squeezing his eyes shut. He stopped shaking, and stood up as he softly laughed manically, Rapunzel shot up and starting backing away from the alchemist while the laughing crescendoed. Then, he opened his eyes only for Rapunzel to see that they were completely blue. "Varian??" Rapunzel asked fearfully. Cass cackled like a witch in the distance, talking to Varian through his mind saying, "Kill her.." He attacked Rapunzel as she tried to think of something to snap him out of Cassandra's spell, she knew he didn't want this. Just then, Eugene came around a corner and stopped Varian from shooting Rapunzel with an arrow that had an alchemy solution on it, taking the blow himself as he became encased in amber. "Eugene!!" Rapunzel cried out in agony as Varian fought for his own head back, his eyes returning to normal and seeing what he had done. His trembling hands dropped the bow and arrow. "No.." He whispered, then repeated louder, "No no no!" Memories of his father being trapped came pouring in, his eyes turning blue once more, but before Cass took over again, he aimed the bow and arrow at her and took his shot before it consumed him. Cassandra was hit by the arrow and she became stuck in amber herself, letting go of Varian and he fell to the ground in exhaustion. He woke up to Rapunzel trying to break Eugene out of the amber using the Decay Incantation. "Princess no! No not again!! Wake up!" He exclaimed as the amber melted away. Eugene tried to shake her awake only for him to pass out. "Eugene!" Varian cried as he grew weak as well but he didn't give up and was able to wake her up before going unconscious. Rapunzel snapped out of it to see Eugene and Varian on the ground, stone cold.
