"Fuck!" Max cursed as he kicked an empty tin lying in the street, causing it to hurtle down the road.
His eyes glared into the night sky while his hands curled into fists, "Fuck those bastards!" he yelled into the night, trying to vent his frustrations.
GRIT
He gritted his teeth as his mind couldn't erase the scene from a few moments ago; he could still smell it. It was definitely there; underneath the stench of alcohol was the scent of women!
"Fuck, I don't care if they don't invite me! Heck, I would be glad instead! But why the fuck do I have to do their chores!" He yelled out loud.
Max was a local gang member. His father left him and his mom for a younger woman when he was a kid.
And his mother, who couldn't take the betrayal, became addicted to alcohol and drugs, causing them to fall into debt, which forced Max to become a henchman for the one who gave the loan.
'That fucker turned a debt of 5,000 dollars into 75 grand!' he muttered inwardly in frustration, thinking about the gangleader.
The gang itself had only five members, with Max included, but the gang leader had connections with the local police, which made them survive till now.
Frustrated by his own circumstances and his helplessness, Max continued to walk along the street, cursing and venting on the way.
He was walking towards the gang leader's house; he was instructed by the gang leader, who was now probably balls deep inside a whore, to inform his wife that he would be 'working late.'
TSK
He clicked his tongue, still frustrated, but continued walking. Soon enough, he reached the end of the street.
He was about to turn into the corner when his vision caught something shiny.
Max halted in his steps, his brows creasing together as he turned his head to his side.
There, under a pile of trash and rubble, was something shining, reflecting the moonlight.
'What is it?' Max wondered as he walked towards it, his steps slow.
He crouched down near the trash, his hand reaching toward the shiny object. 'It's a ring!' he exclaimed, picking it up.
It was a silver ring, with some weird letters engraved on it; Max tried to read the letters but to no avail.
'I bet the silver isn't worth more than ten dollars!' he commented inwardly, noticing how light the ring was.
He walked back onto the street, but his eyes were fixed on the ring. 'Should I keep it?' He wondered.
'Selling it wouldn't give me a lot of money, and throwing it away would be a waste…'
Mulling over it for a while, Max soon came to a decision: 'Finders keepers, I guess.' He muttered, putting the ring on his ring finger.
The ring slid snugly onto his finger, almost as if it were made for him, and the moment it settled on his finger,
SNAP
Max felt as if the world had snapped. An electric jolt passed through his spine as he felt a sharp pain in his mind.
"Ugh," he grumbled out loud as he clutched his head, his body feeling heavy.
'What's happening!?' he exclaimed inwardly, struggling to open his mouth.
The feeling of heaviness lingered on for a few moments before it completely disappeared almost instantly, and the moment I did so,
"What the fuck was that!?" Max exclaimed out loud. His nose flared while his chest heaved up and down.
He looked down at his hand, at the ring, with a frown on his face.
'Is it…?' The thought was too ridiculous to be true, but Max didn't want to take chances, 'I don't want to be the host of a possessed ring!' he exclaimed inwardly as he tried to take the ring off his finger.
"Hiekk!!"
But no matter how hard he tried, it didn't budge at all; it's as if the ring and his finger were one.
Max's face had paled by now; his heart was pounding against his chest while he cursed his luck, "Fuck! Just how unlucky am I?"
For the next few moments, Max did everything he could to take the ring off, but to no avail.
But as he was about to give up, something miraculous happened.
The air in front of him quivered as a blue screen materialised in front of him.
Max's eyes widened in surprise; it flickered for a moment before text started to appear on the screen.

Max's breath hitched as he stared at the blue screen in front of him.
BADUMP BADUMP BADUMP
His heart drummed against his chest like a war hammer, while his eyes stared at the string of texts.
His mouth was hung agape at the ridiculous scene in front of him and the only thing he could utter was,
"....What the fuck!?"
