I could sence myself waking up,my consciousness returning. "I still hear them" I sighed exhaustedly sitting on the bed I woke. "Where am I?"I asked my sence of sight finally returning although for a moment my mind still remained sluggish,wrapped in the lingering want to sleep but I forced myself up "this isn't my bed"I exclaimed "it's not even something I recognize or ever laid on....it feels different" I paused hearing voices approach the door to the room I laid in "you're alright" a young lady said excitedly giving me a hug as soon as she got into the room "you should be more careful next time Lord Aldrich, your head got hurt after your fall" she said again tightening her hold as the man she walked into the room with pulled her off me "you should be careful vaelis, he suffered a little concussion and thought it's subsided you shouldn't just rush at him like that" the strange man said "I'm sorry...., I was just too happy to find out my Lord was ok" vaelis replied smiling "what the hell is really going on?"I could only wonder as I surveyed the room I found myself in, the chamber was vast with high ceilings adorned with intricate crown molding and a grand chandelier that cast a golden glow, the man beside vaelis noticed me stareing at the room and with a bow he asked a question "I'd like to know why the young master keeps staring around the room, isn't there anything of recognition in it?" He asked as I gave a blood and simple reply "no, nothing at all" I replied as the man smirked ,"I suspected this would happen" he said "suspected...suspected what?" Vaelis asked she was concerned but right now I just couldn't tell why "Lord Aldric has lost hi memory, that explains why he hasn't been acting like himself,or why he didn't react when you hugged him vaelis" the man explained "really it's the other way around, I don't know these people at all,but I guess I just have to play along"I sighed "who are you ?"I asked my voice of no similarity to my other voice. "I'm vaelis wimforth,your lords personal handmaid and his best friend" vaelis said of course with her usual smile "a personal maid,this Aldric sure has to be a rich kid" I smiled "and I I'm vermot sert, personal and trusted doctor for the grand duke s family" vermot introduced while I sat on the bed, speechless, surprised and nervous, "I'm sorry my Lord but I and vaelis have to cut our visit short as we will be heading to the audience room to update your father the grand duke of Lord Aldrics current state of health"vermot excused and with a bow he and vaelis exited the room.
"If what they said is true, did I just get reincarnated?,"I thought "and em if I did what happened to the real Aldric?"I questioned myself resting my head on the soft pillows on the bed but as I did this what seemed to be a window popped up in front of me.
