Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Beginning

5:45 AM

Mina woke up, needing to go to the bathroom. He entered the bathroom connected to the bedroom and turned on the lights, but they didn't work.

"Strange, it's only been a week since I changed the bulb."

When Mina finished in the bathroom, he went to try the lights in the other room. He found that the electricity was cut off from the entire house.

Mina went outside to check the house's electrical box, located on the right exterior wall of the house.

Mina checked the electrical box and found no fault.

"Is the power out for the entire area? I'll go to my neighbor, the policeman Max, and see if the power is out at his house too."

Mina went to Max's house and knocked on the door. He heard footsteps inside. When the footsteps reached the door,

"Crash!"

The door burst open, and Mina jumped back. A zombie wearing a police uniform emerged from Max's house. His right eye was missing, with worms crawling out of the socket, his left eye was white, his lower lip was gone, his nose was missing, and his skin was decaying.

The zombie walked towards Mina and attacked him, swinging his right hand. Mina dodged

by jumping back. The zombie then attacked with his left hand. Mina ducked, quickly moved behind the zombie, and forcefully kicked its knee from behind, causing the zombie to kneel on one knee. Then, he kicked the zombie in the back, making it fall face down. Mina took advantage of the fall and stomped on the zombie's head repeatedly until it was crushed.

[Ding! You have killed a level 5 zombie.]

[Ding! You have reached level 3.]

[Ding! You have gained 9 attribute points. Say "Status" to distribute them.]

Mina stepped away from the zombie's corpse. He sat on the ground, panting for air. He calmed down when he regained some strength, then stood up and went to the zombie's body. He flipped it over, and when he read the name on the police uniform, he closed his eyes, feeling sadness and guilt.

"Crash!" "Crash!" "Groan!" "Groan!"

Mina opened his mouth to speak, but he didn't have time. More zombies emerged from the other houses and started walking towards him. Mina ran towards Max's house to take shelter, but he only took a few steps before stopping. A zombie had broken into Max's house from the back.

Mina looked around and found himself surrounded, with nowhere to escape. He started to feel fear and anxiety, but he composed himself and looked around for anything to use as a weapon.

Mina noticed a police baton hanging on Max's uniform and a green scroll next to Max's body. He quickly grabbed the baton. When Mina picked up the scroll, a message appeared before him.
