Name: Arika
Birthday: May 1st
Here's the thing,
Even though Arika's name sounds kind of girly, he's actually a guy. (Weird right?)
And it gets even more bizarre—his dad thought Arika was a girl (He actually looked very girly until senior high school).
The father didn't realize until the next day, but, for some stupid reason, he just didn't bother changing the name ( He's the type of person who's like, "Just go with the flow.").
Arika's your typical happy, smiley guy, loved by everyone around him. Nothing too out of the ordinary.
Now, his dad's from another country, and the family lives in his mom's house.
Fun fact: His dad renounced his nationality and took mom's surname. Yeah, that's one way to keep things interesting.
His dad's a real estate agent, and his mom used to be an elementary school teacher. But after getting married, she gave up the job and faced a million-and-one questions from (Yes this happens in here a lot).
After Arika was born, exactly 11 months later, his mom had another baby—a girl this time.
The dad, being his usual self, decided to risk both mother and child for the sake of his own desire. Unsurprisingly, both sets of grandparents were less than thrilled and let him know in no uncertain terms (He deserved that handful of ears).
The newborn girl was named Arita.
So.....
we've got Big Brother Arika and Little Sister Arita. (See the pattern? Ari—Ari....)
Yeah, Arika means a place where something originated, and Arita means a piece of land. Pretty poetic, right?
Except... neither name really has any meaning. Go figure. Dad had a knack for meaningful names that didn't actually mean anything.
The family is super supportive, though. Seriously, they're the kind of family that's got your back no matter what.
Arita took after their mom in pretty much every way, while Arika ended up with a nice blend of traits from both parents. (Good sides, I promise. All bad sides we got from who? No clue).
Arika was the kid with tons of friends, always surrounded by people. But Arita? Total introvert. She was always in her own little world. Despite their differences, the siblings shared one mutual childhood friend—Aratan, or Ara for short.
Ara is the daughter of their mom's best friend. And get this—Ara has an older sister named Yuri, who's about two years older than her.
Now, Arika and Ara are tight, but... Arika and Yuri?
Total enemies. Seriously, whenever those two meet, it's guaranteed to end in arguments, punches, and biting. Like, a lot of biting. It's basically their thing( I regret a lot now...)
Arika used to be pretty loud and proud as a kid—definitely got that from his dad. Who else? (Duh).
All in all, Arika had a pretty happy childhood—until things started to change when the siblings entered elementary school
(Telling you guys, The mood gonna shift really bad).
