The classroom hummed with low chatter as Kaito Arashi walked in. His posture was relaxed, hands in his pockets, but his eyes held a cold, unshakable calm.
"New kid, huh?" Riku, a scrawny but friendly student, grinned. "What's your deal?"
Kaito didn't answer. He slid into his seat by the window, uninterested. His only goal was to keep a low profile — but fate had other plans.
Across the room, a group of tough-looking students leaned against the wall. They were part of the Crimson Fangs, the ruling MMA gang of Shibuya High. Their leader, Jin Takeda, a towering figure with scars on his knuckles, eyed Kaito with predatory interest.
"Yo, new guy," Jin called out, cracking his neck. "You got guts walking in here without knowing who runs this place."
Kaito ignored him.
The classroom fell silent. The tension was thick.
"Oi," Jin growled, stalking toward Kaito. "You deaf or just stupid?"
Kaito sighed. I didn't want trouble…
Jin grabbed Kaito's desk and yanked it back. "I'm talking to you."
Kaito finally looked up, his eyes like dead glass. "Let go."
The class gasped. No one talked to Jin like that. Ever.
"Ohhh, we got a tough guy," Jin sneered. "Alright then—"
In a flash, Kaito moved. His hand shot out, gripping Jin's wrist like iron. A sharp crack echoed as Jin's arm twisted unnaturally, dropping him to his knees.
"AAAGH!!" Jin screamed.
Kaito leaned down, his voice a whisper. "I told you to let go."
Jin's gang surged forward, but Kaito didn't move. His aura was suffocating. Without thinking, the gang froze in place. Kaito released Jin and turned back to his desk.
"Class is starting," he muttered. "Don't bother me again."
The Crimson Fangs didn't move. Fear clutched their chests like a vice.
And so, the rumor spread:
A monster had transferred to Shibuya High.
