Chapter 1 - *Chapter 1: Fractured Victory**

The Mumbai sun cast its warm glow over the lush green grounds of Elite Public School, where the air was electric with excitement. The Interschool Sports Championship finals had finally arrived, and Siya Rathore's heart raced with a mix of anticipation and dread. As she sprinted towards the measurement and weight checkup area, her long, dark hair cascaded down her back like silk, reaching the gentle curve of her hips.

Siya's mind was a jumble of emotions - the thrill of leading her kabaddi team, Elite Warriors, to victory was overshadowed by the heavy responsibilities awaiting her at home. Her mother's mysterious passing three months ago had left a gaping void, and Siya felt the weight of caring for her family bearing down on her slender shoulders. Her father, once warm and loving, had grown cold and distant, leaving Siya to navigate her grief alone.

Coach Kumar's stern expression only added to Siya's anxiety as she approached the checkup area. "Siya Rathore, finally," Coach Kumar said dryly, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Let's get your details noted." Siya stood tall as the official measured her height - 5'5" - and jotted down her weight: 65 kg, with a athletic yet slender build suitable for her age and kabaddi sport. Coach Kumar nodded approvingly, yet her voice remained firm. "Last chance, Siya. Lead your team to victory, or face consequences."

The whistle blew, and the match erupted into a flurry of color and movement. Siya's focus narrowed to the game as she dodged and weaved around opponents with ease, her teammates working seamlessly together like a well-oiled machine. The crowd cheered and chanted, but Siya's heart remained detached, her mind still reeling from the emotional turmoil at home. Elite Warriors dominated the game, emerging victorious with a score of 30-20.

As the final whistle blew, Siya's teammates lifted her onto their shoulders, cheering and congratulating her on their win. But amidst the jubilation, Siya felt alone, her eyes scanning the crowd for a familiar face - her mother's. Parents congratulated other children, beaming with pride, and Siya's heart twisted with pain. She slipped away from the celebration, eager to escape the happy chaos.

Siya walked alone across the emptying ground, her footsteps echoing off the buildings.

The silence was a welcome relief after the deafening cheers. Siya's long hair swayed gently behind her as she walked towards the school building, her eyes fixed on the changing room door. She just wanted to slip inside, change out of her kabaddi uniform, and escape the lingering sadness.

But suddenly, a voice pierced the stillness:

"Siya..."
