Side Story Series: The Dreamborn Chronicles
When Existence Became Truly Free
---
Prologue: The World Without Fate
It has been 10,000 years since Lucian created the dream.
No fate.
No cycles.
No control.
For the first time in eternity—life was truly free.
Civilizations rose and fell, but not because of predestined stories.
Heroes and villains were no longer crafted by fate.
They were chosen by themselves.
But something was stirring.
Something Lucian never anticipated.
A force beyond even the Architects.
Something that existed before existence itself.
And soon—this force would awaken.
---
Chapter 1: The First Civilization
The first civilization to emerge in Lucian's dream called themselves The Unbound.
A people who understood they were free from fate.
No gods.
No prophecies.
No cycles.
They built vast cities of light.
Their technology advanced without limit.
Their lifespans extended indefinitely.
And they believed themselves to be the pinnacle of existence.
But deep within their cities, a whisper began.
A whisper that no one could trace.
"The dream is a prison."
"The Dreamer is not our savior. He is our jailer."
"We must find the Dreamer… and unmake him."
At first, it was ignored.
But the whisper spread.
And in time… it became a belief.
---
Chapter 2: The Cult of the Forgotten Cycle
A new group emerged.
They called themselves The Forgotten Cycle.
They believed that Lucian's dream was not freedom—but another form of prison.
A dream without direction.
A world without meaning.
"If there is no god, no fate, and no destiny—then our lives are meaningless."
They began preaching a dangerous idea:
"The Dreamer must die."
---
Chapter 3: The Awakening of the Void Seed
Unbeknownst to Lucian, when he destroyed the Architects, something else had survived.
A fragment of pure, undying will—older than the Architects themselves.
It was called The Void Seed.
And it now whispered to the Forgotten Cycle.
"Find the Dreamer. End his dream. And I will return fate to you."
The cult listened.
And for the first time since the end of cycles—a war began.
---
Chapter 4: The Creation of the Cyclebreaker
The leader of the cult was a woman named Elira.
She was once a scientist.
A builder of worlds.
But she could no longer bear the aimless freedom of the dream.
"I want purpose again. I want fate. I want meaning."
And the Void Seed answered.
"Then you must find the Dreamer. And kill him."
Elira asked:
"How can I kill something beyond existence?"
The Void Seed answered:
"I will give you something he does not have—a purpose."
And so, Elira was transformed.
She became the Cyclebreaker.
A being with one singular mission:
Find Lucian. Kill the Dreamer. Restart the cycle.
---
Chapter 5: The Dreamer Awakens
Far beyond existence, Lucian was at peace.
He lived with the woman he had long lost, in a place beyond time.
But now—something was calling him.
A voice.
A familiar, horrifying voice.
"Dreamer… they are coming for you."
Lucian turned—only to see the very thing he had destroyed:
The Void Seed.
"Impossible," Lucian whispered.
"I ended the cycles. I destroyed the void."
The Void Seed laughed.
"You destroyed the Architects, yes. But I was never their creation."
Lucian's blood ran cold.
"What are you, then?"
The Void Seed whispered:
"I am the concept before concepts. The dream before the Dreamer. The true origin of existence."
"And your dream, Lucian… is already breaking."
Lucian turned to his love.
"I have to stop it."
She grabbed his hand.
"But if you leave… you may never find me again."
Lucian's heart cracked.
But he knew the truth.
"If I do not go—there will never be a dream again."
And so—for the second time—
Lucian returned to the battlefield.

🔥 This side story is about to escalate into something far darker.
Lucian now faces a force beyond the Architects—something that existed before existence itself.
The Void Seed's goal?
To shatter the dream and restore the cycles of fate.
Elira, the new Cyclebreaker, is now hunting Lucian.
And Lucian must make a terrible choice:
Kill Elira and preserve the dream.
Or allow the Void Seed to take control again.
