Chapter 46 - To Jotunheim, The Fountain Of Wisdom

Magic Library.

There are not many soldiers in Asgard, and even fewer qualified magicians.

It often takes hundreds of years to cultivate a qualified magician who can stand on their own.

Most are like half-filled buckets of water, somewhere between apprentices and full-fledged magicians.

This also means that the magicians who appear in the movies can be counted on one hand.

Odin, Frigg, Loki.

When Aaron arrived here, there were only about a dozen people in the huge library.

Even knowing that there are few magicians in Asgard, one cannot help but feel struck by the desolation of the place.

Aaron's arrival did not attract the attention of anyone.

They were all immersed in the ocean of magic, seeking more knowledge.

Aaron looked around and quickly found Amora's location.

Interestingly, with Amora at the center, there was no one else in the large area.

This shows how unpopular Amora is in Asgard.

"Fountain of Wisdom... World Tree... Jotunheim... Damn it, where is the holy fountain?"

Just as Aaron approached, he heard Amora muttering faintly.

Aaron stepped forward and patted Amora on the shoulder, startling her.

"Who is it? Didn't see my old lady... uh..."

Like a frightened cat, Amora's hair instantly stood on end, and she almost spit out some harsh words. But when she saw that the person was Aaron, she immediately swallowed the words and returned to her seductive expression.

A beautiful face-changing skill was completed in a short time, and Aaron couldn't help but laugh when he saw it.

"Aaron... Master... I'm looking for news about the Fountain of Wisdom. Why are you here?"

When she said this, Amora seemed very uncomfortable. She no longer had the frivolous and casual attitude of a strong woman but looked more like a timid quail.

Aaron frowned, his face slightly darkened, but soon he smiled again. "Have you forgotten what I said? Teacher Amora!"

The words "Teacher Amora" were said with particular emphasis.

Amora instantly remembered the key points of Aaron's previous instructions. Her face changed again, and she no longer appeared so humble or timid. This time, her expression was much more normal.

"Aaron, what do you want to see me for? Is it about magic?" Amora said with a serious teacher's expression.

Aaron nodded, his voice becoming quieter, "I need to see the map of Jotunheim and some important marked areas."

"So it's this problem... it's easy to handle. I'll tell you the key to this magic now..."

Amora nodded and led Aaron towards a bookshelf, quickly disappearing from view.

The two stopped and started gathering books from different places and piling them together.

"Jotunheim is the domain of the Frost Giants. Although Asgard completely conquered the Frost Giants a thousand years ago and even broke into their lair and took the Casket of Ancient Winters, we don't know much about Jotunheim."

Amora opened a book while speaking. "This book contains the most detailed map of Jotunheim, including the location of the lair of Frost Giant Lauf."

It is said that the editor of this book is Heimdall.

His eyes are trustworthy.

There should be no major difference between the information in the book and the real Jotunheim, but there is no information about the Fountain of Wisdom."

"It's this book..."

"No need! I already have an idea."

Aaron casually glanced at the map, mentally matching the points one by one, quickly narrowing down the possible locations.

Jotunheim is much bigger than Asgard. Even after narrowing it down to just a few points, it's not easy to find the exact location.

If Aaron had to search every coordinate on foot, it would take an unbearable amount of time.

Moreover, it's a world of ice and snow, and even the Asgardians' physical strength couldn't endure for long.

Aaron didn't want to stay in that dreadful place any longer than necessary.

Now that the scope had been narrowed with the help of the map, it was time to go to Jotunheim.

"Next, you don't need to search for the Fountain of Wisdom anymore. Just stay put and don't do anything stupid."

After giving Amora a final warning, Aaron left the library again.

On his way out, he separated another entity duplication.

This duplication would attract attention, including from Frigg, during his time in Jotunheim.

Traveling to Jotunheim without permission is a felony!

A thousand years ago, Odin and Lauf signed a truce agreement. The two sides are not allowed to enter each other's territory. Anyone who dares to cross the border without complying with the agreement does so at their own risk.

Aaron couldn't tell anyone about this. If they found out, even if he managed to escape the Frost Giants' siege, Odin would surely punish him severely.

Even if he were the son of a hero or a magical prodigy, he could not escape punishment.

"The entity duplication of LV5 is enough to deceive everyone except Odin."

"As long as I avoid going to the Golden Hall and meeting Odin during this time, everything will be fine."

"But just in case... if I really find the Fountain of Wisdom and solve the problem of magical energy reserves, the first thing I should upgrade is the portal."

"If I can travel between Asgard and Jotunheim anytime, anywhere, I can completely avoid being discovered."

As Aaron walked in stealth, he was already thinking ahead.

Soon, he reached the secret passage from Loki's memories.

Without hesitation, he stepped into the cave, passed through a space turbulence, and arrived at the icy Jotunheim, the homeland of the Frost Giants!

Looking around, Aaron saw mountains, rivers, and landscapes formed by ice over thousands of years.

He shuddered at the biting chill.

Even a body as strong as his could hardly withstand the cold, which showed just how low the temperature here was.

Aaron took out a coat made of high-quality Asgard leather from his space storage and wrapped it around himself, along with a plush scarf, to keep from freezing.

Relying on Heimdall's memory of the Jotunheim map, Aaron set off in search of the holy spring, having already determined the direction.

Along the way, Aaron remained invisible.

Even in the ice and snow, his footsteps left no trace.

Frost Giants passing by did not notice this unexpected guest.

They couldn't even imagine that there was an Asgardian walking under their noses.

Jotunheim rarely sees the sun.

At least, during the time Aaron was there, he never saw the sun.

Snow was the only weather here.

The faint light coming from nowhere kept the world from falling into eternal darkness.

But even so, for people of other races, Jotunheim was definitely not a pleasant place, let alone a tourist attraction.

Here, besides ice and snow, there was more ice and snow. And the Frost Giants, lurking somewhere, could appear at any moment and take a life.

Aaron didn't know how long he had been walking like this, but he finally found what he suspected was the Fountain of Wisdom.

This place was not covered in ice and snow like the others.

On the contrary, it was a spring full of vitality.

And there were no Frost Giants nearby; they seemed to be avoiding this place.

Although Aaron had yet to see the Fountain of Wisdom itself, he was sure that this was the place he had been looking for.

He could sense the majestic magical aura in the air.

His entire being absorbed the surging magical power like a glutton.

"Right here!"

There was a flash of light in Aaron's eyes, and he entered, arriving at the holy spring.

The Fountain of Wisdom!
