Kajol had spent the rest of the day in a daze, her body was present in meetings but her mind was consumed by the kiss. No matter how much she tried to dismiss it, to drown herself in work the memory and physical feeling lingered. The way his lips had demanded and the way she had surrendered, she was ashamed of herself when he had leaned in she hadn't stopped him.
Her mind warred with itself, it was wrong and immoral. And yet beneath the anger, guilt at herself, there was something worse a deep aching hunger for Shah Rukh. She wanted more. She thought about his dinner Invitation. She touched her lips which were still tingling from his earlier assault. She should have said no to him but her mind had been clouded by his presence.
A battle raged within her, she wasn't the kind of woman who entertained married men. She has always prided herself on that. Yet when Shah Rukh's lips had touched hers, he had awakened something she thought was long dead, a part of her that had been untouched for far too long. She decided to go for the dinner. Her phone beeped Dinner at 8 pm don't be late. She felt a shiver down her spine, she liked how controlling he was being with her.
*********
Kajol made her way into the restaurant, it was dimly lit, the restaurant exuded luxury from the soft golden lighting to the crisp white table cloths. The air had scent of expensive wine and exotic spices. Kajol looked at the wrist watch, the time was 8 pm exactly dressed in an elegant red sequin saree that hugged her curves, the deep neckline revealing just enough to tempt but not enough to invite a scandal. She didn't dress for him at least that's what she told herself. She made her way to his table after spotting him.
Shah Rukh was already there, seated at a private corner table, his presence as commanding as ever. He stood up when he saw her, his gaze raked over her slowly, deliberately. " You're late", he voiced. She arched her brow as she sat down opposite him, " I am exactly on time. You however, seem eager". His lips curved into a knowing smirk. "Can you blame me?"
A waiter appeared with a bottle of red wine, Kajol was a huge lover of wine. Her eyes sparkled as the waiter poured her a glass and Shah Rukh. Kajol took a slow sip, letting the richness coat her tongue before meeting Shah Rukh's gaze. He was watching her the entire time his eyes dark, filled with an intensity that sent a familiar heat curling low in her belly.
"You've been thinking about it", he said swirling the wine in his glass. Kajol tilted her head "Thinking about what?" His smirk deepened" The kiss that happened earlier today". A shiver ran through her but she held his gaze " I was thinking about how unprofessional it was of you to do that" she countered. Shah Rukh leaned forward, his elbows resting on the table "Liar," he whispered. Her breath hitched, refusing to give her the upper hand. "I don't entertain married men, Shah Rukh".
He chuckled, "Yet here you are, dressed to kill. Drinking wine with me. Looking at me a constant reminder of how I felt against you". Kajol exhaled, setting her glass down, " You are very sure of yourself". " "Only when I know am right, you want me Kajol just as much as I want you, consequences be damned". His fingers toyed with the stem of the glass.
She should shut this down, remind him of his wife and children, the morality she was supposed to uphold. Instead against better judgement, she leaned in slightly, her lips curling into a smirk " And what exactly do you think I want from you Shah Rukh?" His gaze dropped to her lips before flickering back to her eyes , "Everything ".
A slow burn spread through her. This was dangerous. But she couldn't help but assume all the warnings in her head. They continued eating and their conversation still continued laced with innuendos his fingers brushing against hers as he poured her more wine an act that Kajol allowed, his gaze lingering on her lips as she spoke.
At a point, he speared a piece of grilled shrimp with his fork, holding it out to her "Try it", he murmured. She hesitated, then parted her lips slightly as he placed the fork in between them. She took a slow bite, her tongue grazing the fork. His jaw tensed, his eyes darkening. Kajol swallowed, watching him "Happy?" Shah Rukh exhaled, a wicked smile tugging at his lips. "Not yet, but I will be". Her logic kicked in this game was dangerous but she was in too deep at the moment to stop.
They left the restaurant and Shah Rukh decided to drive her home. He had not come with his security detail because he craved for privacy. As they drove home Kajol was quiet which made Shah Rukh quite uneasy. Shah Rukh killed the engine of his sleek black Mercedes in front of Kajol's home. Turning to face her, his gaze was unreadable. " You were quiet on the ride back", "I was just thinking, about how reckless this is, us, whatever we are doing is very reckless ".
His lips quirked into a smirk " Reckless is walking away pretending this isn't real". Her breath hitched, she should leave, should physically open the door and leave but she didn't move because the truth was that she didn't want to. Shah Rukh touched their chin tilting her face towards himself, "Tell me to stop" he murmured his breath warm against her lips.
The tension inside the car was suffocating. Kajol's face was flushed against Shah Rukh's darkened gaze. She should leave but when he leaned in she did too meeting him halfway. The moment their lips met, restraint shattered. Shah Rukh groaned against her lips, his hands skimming down her arms before gripping her waist, pulling her into him. Kajol's finger curled into his jacket, then slid beneath, seeking the warmth of his body as his tongue coaxed her lips apart, deepening the kiss until she could feel him everywhere.
Her body was on fire under his touch, his hands exploring, possessive and deliberate. He slid one hand up her thigh, the silk of her saree bunching beneath his fingers. Kajol gasped into his mouth as his palm found the bare skin of her waist, his thumb stroking slow lazy circles enjoying the feel of her soft skin.
"Shah Ru...." She whispered, but was silenced with another kiss, this one rougher and more demanding. His lips trailed down her jaw, to the curve of her neck, where he placed a hot open-mouthed kiss that had her shivering. Kajol's head fell back against her seat, her breathing uneven. "You're so damn intoxicating" he rasped, his lips grazing the hollow of her throat. "I can't stop touching you".
She clenched her eyes shut, fighting the war between desire and guilt. " We shouldn't" "But we are", he cut in, his hands tightening around her waist, pulling her flush against his chest. "Tell me to stop and I will". Silence stretched between them, broken only by their ragged breaths as they tried to catch it. Kajol's lips parted, but no words came. Her silence was all the answer he needed.
Shah Rukh captured her lips again, his hands mapping her body with the urgency of a man who had waited too long. The windows fogged, the air thick with need. Every touch, every kiss, every stolen moment pushed them closer to the edge of something dangerously uncontrollable. He gripped her waist pulling her to his lap with ease, her knees pressing into the leather seat as she straddled him. The new position sent a shockwave of pleasure through her, the evidence of his arousal pressing against her.
"Tell me you don't feel what am feeling", he murmured against her lips, his voice thick. Kajol's nails dug into his shoulders, her body betraying her mind. Her saree had ridden up, leaving her thighs bare against his. "You are driving me insane," he groaned, his hands gripping her hips tighter, guiding her movement against him.
Meera bit her lip, eyes fluttering shut as waves of pleasure surged through her. Her hands slid into his hair, tugging as his lips moved lower, kissing, tasting, marking her cleavage which made her ache for more. As his hands slid beneath the folds of the saree, fingers grazing dangerously high, reality crashed into her like an ice cold bucket of water.
It took everything in her to move back, to shift off his lap to put distance between them when every part of her screamed to stay. She straightened her saree, her fingers trembling as she reached for the door. She opened it and ran to her doorstep leaving Shah Rukh confused.
