Severus Snape ignored the scoldings of all Slytherins which made them furious. They scolded him for a while and hesitated to take action because the professors are here. After eating breakfast, Severus directly arrived at the library and stole some books to attend classes. In this situation going to the common room is like courting your own death.
So he placed the books in his Inventory and left the place. His remaining books are fortunately with him. Except one, that book is still with Lily Evans, his potions notebook with his spells recorded in it. Looking at the schedule he realised it's potions class. The last potions class to be exact for this semester.
As he arrived at the classroom Slughorn greeted him," Severus, how are you? I heard from poppy, that your situation isn't very good. Are you sure you want to attend my class? It's better to take some rest after everything that happened ", he asked with a forced smile. There is a flicker of concern in his eyes.
Severus smiled and said," it's alright professor. I can't miss my last potions class. And besides, I realised it's better to move on rather than pursuing something hopeless and I can't get. Professor, I need some help. My book is still with miss Evans, can you help to not get this into another commotion? ".
Although it's a little too much to involve a professor, he is determined to get the book back into his hands. Slughorn nodded after thinking for a while, afterall he don't want another incident to happen and also ease some of his favourite student's torment.
As the students arrived Severus approached lily while others looked like they're going to watch the show. Lily Evans looked at him irritated and shouted," didn't I tell you? You will never get my forgiveness? Don't bother me again if you ever consider me as your friend ".
Severus simply replied," friends. Sorry stranger. I'm here to take back my book that left in your hands. If you give that back to me, I'll never you bother you again ", hearing the words everyone thought they're hallucinating. Even Lily too. She is dazed while Severus stretched his hand and asked," my book, stranger. The one with spells that you shared with your precious friends who bullied me with those and the one which contains my work on potions until now. I would like to have it back. Give it to me or should I take it by myself? ".
Slughorn sensed something will go wrong from here and said," Lily, give Severus his book back. Don't make this another commotion. I want my last class of this semester to end smoothly without any quarells ", Lily gave the book back in a dazed manner while Severus simply walked away.
For moments this silence continued before whispers of students started to spread among the crowd. Lily looked at Snape who seem to ignoring all this. He is searching the book to see if anything bis missing from it. After seeing everything is there, he seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and put it away.
Anger welled up in Lily's heart as she gritted her teeth while glaring at her former best friend. He called her stranger, in addition to the mudblood, now this. She decided to never forgive him. He is just here to finish education and leave to explore the world to learn more magic. Severus Snape listened to the class attentively and noted things that's useful for him. He maintained utmost clam throughout the class thanks to his Gamer's mind skill while Lily messed up the potion in her anger and distracted mind.
Her chest heaving up and down. Her eyes are sending glares to Severus who seemed he is ignoring everything in the world focussing on his potion. Slytherins blinked, they rubbed their eyes looking at the disgrace of Slytherin who seemed to be changed. Calling the girl he chased after for 5 years as stranger. Even going as far as to ignore her gaze and glares, not giving that girl any attention.
He is acting like Lily Evans is really a stranger to him. Severus Snape is like a complete new person now. No more like, he is similar to the Snape except now he doesn't care about Lily Evans and ignoring Slytherins all together.
He is acting normally with Slughorn. This behaviour made many doubt their eyes. After class he is the first one to get out and then disappeared before anyone can chase him. Lily Evans stood in the potions class room dazed. It isn't until Slughorn call snapped her out of her daze.
Tears streamed down her eyes as she grabbed her books and left the classroom quickly. Severus Snape wounded her heart again by calling her stranger. Severus Snape appeared again in the kitchens. He asked the house elves who seemed to be nervous about his arrival," who among you can answer my call in this castle when I call your name and bring food for me when asked no matter when, or where in this castle ".
The house elves looked at each other while one moved forward and said," moppy can do that sir ", Severus smiled and said," thank you moppy. I'll be counting on you from now on ", the house elf stood there stunned before a smile broke out on the house elf moppy's face," kind sir said he is counting on moppy. Moppy will do his best to serve the kind sir ".
Severus said," I'm Severus Snape. Moppy, You know the room of requirement right? When i call you from there, can you bring me food? ", the house elf nodded immediately and said," the house elves can respond to your call from anywhere in this castle sir ".
Severus nodded and said," good. I'm now a little hungry. Is there any meat? ", moppy immediately ran to the food and brought a plate filled with a whole chicken. Severus smiled and said," thank you moppy ", the house elf danced with joy as Severus ate the chicken.
