*Chapter 25: The Confrontation*
Aria's heart was racing as she hesitated, wondering whether to answer Elijah's call. But something about his timing seemed suspicious.
She showed the screen to Ryker, who raised an eyebrow. "What does he want?" he whispered.
Aria shook her head. "I don't know," she said. "But I'm going to find out."
She took a deep breath and answered the call. "Elijah," she said, trying to keep her tone neutral.
Elijah's voice was smooth and charming. "Aria, I've been trying to reach you," he said. "I know you're working with Ryker and Lena. I want to help."
Aria's eyes narrowed. "Why should I trust you?" she asked.
There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Because I have information that can help you take down Vraxxis," Elijah said. "Meet me at the old clock tower at midnight. Come alone."
Aria's instincts were screaming at her to be cautious. But a part of her wanted to believe that Elijah was telling the truth.
She looked at Ryker, who raised an eyebrow. "What does he want?" he mouthed.
Aria hesitated, unsure of what to do.
