As they entered the castle, Kael's eyes widened in awe. The grand halls were lined with intricate tapestries and glittering chandeliers, and the air was thick with the scent of magic.
Aria led him through the winding corridors, past guards who saluted her with a nod or a bow. They finally arrived at a grand throne room, where a figure sat on a throne-like chair, surrounded by a halo of light.
"Lord Arin," Aria said, her voice dripping with respect. "I present to you Kael, the young orphan with a destiny that will change the course of history."
Lord Arin's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing as he surveyed Kael from head to toe. Kael felt a shiver run down his spine as the lord's eyes seemed to bore into his very soul.
"So, you're the one," Lord Arin said finally, his voice like thunder. "The one who wields the power of the Azure Moonlight. I must say, I'm impressed."
Kael bowed his head, unsure of what to say. He didn't know what Lord Arin's intentions were, or what he wanted from him.
"But don't think for a moment that you're safe here," Lord Arin continued, his eyes glinting with amusement. "The city of Whispers is full of dangers, and you're just a pawn in a much larger game."
Kael's hand tightened around the hilt of his sword, his heart racing with excitement. He knew that he had to be careful, that he had to trust no one.
"I'm ready for whatever comes next," he said, his voice firm.
Lord Arin's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with approval.
"I like your spirit," he said. "Very well, let's begin your training. You have a lot to learn, Kael. And not a lot of time to learn it."
