The sounds of lightening disturb the silence of the street, so empty that nobody was seen. As footsteps disturbed the silence together with the lightening, a figure holding an umbrella slowly walked not mind now dirty her shoes were now. Her eyes had lost its brightness.
"Natalie!!!."
She raised her head...
"Hey!!!".
For the first time that night she smiled.
"What are you doing? Look at you!!", Her friend, Maya yelled at the top of her voice, "What took you so long huh?, Your food now is cold now".
"There was traffic so I had to walk".
"Under the rain?".
"I have an umbrella?".
Maya frown darkened the more, "You look miserable, let's go home you idiot".
Maya turned around and walked into the house that Natalie almost missed, she sighed following her friend before she vent her anger on her again.
"You know Stephen came today", Maya started.
"He did? Why?".
Maya took off her wet coat and shoes, "I don't know, he said he wanted to see you".
Natalie narrowed her eyes a bit Stephen doesn't even care about her, why did he then come to see her?. Sometimes she doesn't understand him.
"Lost in thought again Natalie, where do you keep that head of yours?".
Natalie smiled as she took off her wet coat and shoes before walking to the living room, her life as been simple from the beginning since her parents passed away. Exhausted she collapsed on the couch while Maya brought cereals.
"Stressed?".
"Yeah, today was chaotic. My boss was yelling all day".
"Your boss is crazy you know that", She shivered with disgust, "I hate him so much".
Natalie laughed taking the cereal from her, "He haven't done anything bad to you".
"You are too soft hearted and minded. That guy is so disgusting around woman", She scoffed and collapsed on the couch crossing her arms, "But he is good looking!"
Natalie clearing choked on her cereal, "What?"
"Don't look at me like that Nat, you and I know it's true!!".
Natalie shook her head and pretended not to hear her, as she continued eating her cereal the lightening struck again, it remembered her of many things.
'Why is it always bad memories when it is on rainy days', She wondered.

"From the last time leave me alone", A voice thundered making the maids around to jumb in fright.
"Please sir, your father has arranged the meeting with the president daughter. He said you should attend".
"Leave me alone... are you deaf?"
As requested the assistance left, leaving his angry boss behind to cool down a bit. As the assistant left his boss room he stumbled upon a little girl at the age of six.
"Why is big brother angry?", She asked cutely chocking her neck a little.
"Your brother is angry based on some issue, you don't have to worry about it Sofia".
Sofia pouted her lips before dashing to her big brother's room.
"Well that the only medicine that boss needs now", The assistant chuckled.
Inside the room a full grown man sat close to the fire place not noticing the little figure in the room with him.
"Brother?".
He turned and his cold face melted instantly, "Sofia? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in bed by now?".
Sofia ran to his embrace, "I heard your voice so I couldn't sleep".
"I'm sorry".
"Arthur?"
"Hmm?".
"Will you get married to the woman dad brought?".
Arthur went silent for a while, "No I don't love her so I won't".
Sofia smiled hugging him tighter, "I miss mommy".
Arthur heart ached badly hearing this.
"If mommy was here maybe daddy won't be doing this".
Arthur sighed staring at the window as the droplet slid down.
'Does bad things happen in rainy days?, why is it so different when it comes to me?'.
