The night at Greystone Manor was shrouded in a thick layer of fog, and the moonlight that poured through the clouds onto the ground was especially faint. Alison and Ethan stood in front of the gates of the manor, staring resolutely ahead. They knew that this game of revenge had entered its final phase, and they had to face Jackson.
"Are you ready?" Ethan asked in a low voice, a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Allison nodded, a note of icy determination in her voice. "Ready."
They pushed open the gates of the manor and stepped into the Great Hall. The hall was brilliantly illuminated, the light from the crystal chandeliers spilling onto the marble floors as if the space was coated in a golden halo. Jackson stood at the entrance of the staircase, a gun in his hand and a sneer on his face.
"You're finally here," he whispered, a hint of mockery in his voice. "I've been waiting for you."
Allison gazed into his eyes, a note of icy determination in her voice. "Jackson, this has got to end."
Jackson sneered, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "End it? Alison, you think you can win? You're so naive."
Ethan stepped forward, determination in his eyes. "Jackson, put the gun down. It's time for this to end."
Jackson's expression changed to a grimace on Friday, his voice filled with anger and hatred. "End? No, it's just beginning."
He raised the gun and pointed it at Allison, his gaze cold and determined. "You think you can uncover the truth? You think you can get justice for Sarah? Alison, you're naive."
Allison didn't flinch, her eyes were filled with cold determination. "Jackson, your cover has been blown. Your family secrets, your crimes, will be made public."
Jackson's expression became more furious, a hint of madness in his voice. "Publicized? Alison, do you think the police will believe you? My family is the law in this town."
Ethan stepped forward, a hint of pleading in his voice. "Jackson, put the gun down. It's time for this to be over."
Jackson's gaze turned to Ethan, his eyes filled with anger and disappointment. "You betrayed me, Ethan. You betrayed our friendship."
Ethan was silent for a moment and finally nodded, a hint of pain in his voice. "Yes, Jackson. I betrayed you. But this is my choice and my atonement."
Jackson sneered, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "Atonement? Ethan, you think that makes up for everything?"
Allison stepped forward, her eyes filled with cold determination. "Jackson, put the gun down. It's time to end this."
Jackson's expression changed to a grimace on Friday, his voice filled with anger and hatred. "End? No, it's just beginning."
He pulled the trigger, and the sound of the gunshot echoed through the empty hall. Allison and Ethan quickly ducked aside, their hearts filled with tension and fear.
"We have to get out of here," Ethan whispered, a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Alison nodded, a note of icy determination in her voice. "No, we have to face him. This has to end."
They quickly moved around to Jackson's side and tried to take the gun out of his hand. Jackson's reflexes were so quick that he turned around and pointed the gun at them again.
"You think you can win?" he whispered. he whispered, a hint of madness in his voice.
Allison looked him in the eye, a hint of cold determination in her voice. "Jackson, this has got to end."
Just then, the sound of sirens came from a distance, breaking the silence of the estate. Jackson's expression stiffened and panic flickered in his eyes.
"Police?" He murmured, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
Alison sneered, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "Yes, Jackson. Your game is over."
Jackson's expression became more furious on Friday, his voice filled with anger and hatred. "No, this is just the beginning."
He raised his gun and aimed it at Allison, but just then Ethan quickly jumped forward and tackled him to the ground. As the two struggled on the ground, the shots rang out again, but this time the bullets were fired at the ceiling.
The police quickly stormed the estate and subdued Jackson. Allison and Ethan stood by, their hearts filled with mixed emotions.
"It's over," Ethan whispered, a note of exhaustion in his voice.
Alison nodded, a note of cold determination in her voice. "Yes, it's over."
They knew that this game of revenge had entered a new phase, and they would have to face the next storm.
