The city pulsed with an unsettling tension. The Seven Titans had ruled the underworld for years, unchallenged, unshaken. But now, an invisible force threatened their empire—Ochieng.
His first strike had rattled them. But they weren't the type to sit and watch.
Tonight, they would strike back.
---
Ochieng walked through the neon-lit alleyway, his black coat billowing slightly with each step. He was alone—or so it seemed.
The air was thick with anticipation. He knew they were watching. He could feel the weight of a dozen hidden eyes locked onto him.
A flicker of movement.
Then—BANG!
A bullet whizzed past his ear. A sniper.
Ochieng didn't flinch. "So, they've sent amateurs first," he muttered.
The moment he spoke, the alleyway erupted into chaos. Figures in black tactical gear poured out from the shadows, armed to the teeth.
"Kill him!" one of them shouted.
A smirk played on Ochieng's lips. "You should have brought more men."
---
The first assassin lunged with a knife, aiming for his throat.
Ochieng sidestepped effortlessly, grabbing the man's wrist and twisting it at an unnatural angle. A sickening crack echoed as the blade clattered to the ground.
Another attacker swung a metal pipe toward his head.
Ochieng ducked, driving his elbow into the man's gut, then spun and kicked him into the brick wall.
The remaining assassins hesitated.
Too late.
A shadow moved from above. Magdalene dropped down from the fire escape, taking out two men in a blink with precise, deadly strikes.
Ronan appeared next, a flash of steel in his hands as he sliced through another attacker.
In seconds, the ambush had turned into a massacre.
The last surviving assassin tried to run. Ochieng caught him by the collar, slamming him into the wall. "Who sent you?"
The man gasped, blood trickling from his mouth. "The Titans… they won't stop… they'll—"
Ochieng snapped his neck. "I know."
---
The bodies were left in the alley, a clear warning.
Ochieng wiped the blood from his hands, his gaze sharp. "They wanted war. I'll give them one they'll never recover from."
Tonight, the city had witnessed its first true battle.
And it was only the beginning.
