Chapter 1 - Universe

{Warning!! Zone 1 will be closed in the countdown}

'Shit! What's this?' The monologue of the young man who had just sat in a vast expanse of desert where it seemed that no occupants other than himself were there.

The young man gulped his saliva harshly and immediately got up from his position.

Without thinking long the young man immediately set his feet running without having any idea of what he was doing.

Until...

Tug!!

'Who?' the young man was surprised when someone with clothes that almost resembled the color of the desert that he had seen earlier.

"Who are--"

Before the young man could finish his sentence, a hand landed to cover his mouth, as if he was not allowed to speak.

The person who previously pulled the young man just stared at him sharply while making a movement where his index finger was placed in front of his lips as if giving him information to close his mouth.

'What is this? Why am I not allowed to speak? Is there something wrong here?' the young man whispered while guessing.

After that the young man just followed the footsteps of the person he believed was a young man who was younger than him.

{5...4...3...2...1}

A hard pull was suddenly carried out by someone he didn't know to get into a cave that looked dark.

(Loud crashing sound)

{Zone 1 closed}

"That's close," said someone the young man he did not know.

"You can talk?" asked the young man who had been curious about all the things he saw around him at this time.

"Tsk, of course I can talk, it's just that you are crazy why are you talking in that zone."

Soon the young man stretched out his hand to get acquainted with the young man in front of him.

"Introduce me--"

The young man blinked his eyes. For some reason, he felt something was missing from his memory.

'Wait, what's my name?' the young man whispered unexpectedly in his mind.

Only a smile is shown by the other person.

"This is your name now... Alexi, not too bad," said the young man in front of Alexi while pointing to a name that was indeed printed on his shirt.

The young man whose name was Alexi just blinked his eyes, as if he couldn't believe what the young man in front of him had just said.

"Ah, then you?" asked Alexi who finally accepted the name and thought that Alexi was indeed his name.

"Elina."

For a while, Alexi seemed to be blinking his eyes again as if he couldn't believe the name he had just heard.

"You're a woman?" asked Alexi who previously thought the woman in front of him was a man.

"Of course! Do you think I'm a boy?" Elina asked this time to Alexi.

A nod of the head was given by Alexi again, because it was true that this was what he had thought before.

Laughter then sounded loud enough to echo in the cave. Just imagine a cave that they live in if they make a low voice it will sound loud enough, then what if they laugh

Of course, it will sound loud and ...

... pretty creepy.

"Ah, I forgot that here is not a place where you can laugh all you want," Elina said, stopping her laughter.

{Zone 2 Unlocked}

"Let's go! We only have one day to complete the mission," Elina said, pulling Alexi's hand again.

'Mission?'

"You're a man, why are you running so weak," Elina complained this time to Alexi.

To be honest, Alexi didn't like that expression, it's just that Elina's footsteps that could fly quickly of course couldn't make him refute that sentence.

"Why do we have to run? Is it that if we don't run we'll get punished or something? And--"

Alexi hung his sentence with his eyes wide open in shock to find a new place in front of him.

"Waterfall?" Alexi's voice was really surprised. Oh, come on where is he now? That's what Alexi repeatedly asked himself.

Elina realized that the young man beside her was stopping his sentence and also his footsteps because he had just realized his surroundings, or more precisely the place they were standing on, for that Elina slightly loosened her grip on Alexi while looking closely at the young man.

"It seems you are starting to realize that something is odd here," said Elina, who sounded used to it or had adapted there.

"Where is this? Weren't we in the desert before?" Alexi softly began to reveal the strangeness he felt.

Elina took a deep breath and stared at Alexi intently.

"Did you hear the information earlier that zone 1 was closed?"

Alexi frowned and nodded his head confirming Elina's words.

"That's the time limit here, and after a long time here, I got used to it and know that the zones here have different times, and when you hear the sound of the collapse earlier it's a sign that zone 1 has been collapsed," Elina said with Relax like a resident who has lived there for a long time.

Alexi was only stunned to hear Elina's answer which didn't make sense for him to digest but on the other hand, he couldn't deny it.

Could this be true?

Alexi repeatedly believed in himself with the statement Elina mentioned earlier.

If only the memory in his head could remember all the events that brought him to this 'odd' world in his opinion, of course, he wouldn't be confused.

"So where are we now?" asked Alexi who in the end tried to be a neutral party and didn't try to refute the words said by the girl who always wore her jacket hood.

Elina's eyes seemed to circulate in all directions.

"Universe."

Once again Alexi frowned, unable to properly digest a word that Elina had just said.

"Don't ask too many questions, our time is getting less, you see at the other end there is time that keeps on rolling."

 Sure enough, when he looked in the direction Elina said, he could see the scroll of time that kept getting shorter.

[23 Hours 45 Minutes 10 Seconds]

'Universe? If this is just a different world, why can I see time like it's a ga—'

Alexi hung his sentence in his mind and realized that this might be the answer he was looking for all along.

'Good grief! I'm still human right?'
