Three years have passed since the incident that happened in Fairy Tail which caused Lucy to leave her 'beloved' guild. They abandoned and abused her for six months ever since a certain Takeover Mage returned from the 'dead'.
Not being able to handle it anymore she decided to leave the guild she once knew as "family". Happy stayed by her side and decided to become her exceed since he cared so much for the blonde woman and not his so-called best friend and foster parent, Natsu. Lucy and Happy promise they will always protect each other no matter what comes across their path in the future.
On their journey of getting stronger, they found a dragon who took them to the dragon realm where Lucy found out the truth of her origin and power. They found her mother, Layla, alive and breathing, and she was the Queen alongside her biological father and brother. Her real family unsealed the memory that had been hidden in her mind since her childhood.
After training for quite some time, the two decided they were going to visit a family friend and stay with them, wanting to open a new journey of adventure and a new life full of love...
The day has finally arrived for Lucy and Happy to leave the dragon realm and enter Earth, for them to start a new beginning as they let go of the painful past and move on. Leaving her new family and friends in the dragon realm, makes both of them feel dejected as it will take a long time for them to see each other again which causes Lucy to tear up again.
She does not want to leave this realm as it gives experiences, she couldn't be happier and feel accepting of who she is. Since recovering her memories of the past her whole being became more complete than before when she was with those fairies in Earthland. She doesn't feel the shackles of proving herself to anyone that she is not weak and useless like those so-called friends and family.
She is powerful in her sense, as her strength does not lie in physical but in intelligence and strong determination, her kindness and love for others prove she is much more humane and powerful than others. Just because she isn't powerful in physical fights that she needed saving and help from her 'Nakama' is not enough evidence she is weak.
Even though she becomes more powerful compared to before in more ways than one, she doesn't change, she is still the beacon of warm light, kindness, and loveliness that no human can compare to. Leaving the dragon realm with her best friend and her new partner is the start of their new adventure that is full of fun, excitement, and love.
Lucy could feel it, she could feel a promising journey in the world where she would arrive shortly.
The world Lucy and Happy are going to is called Earth, this world does not know how to use magic as it's just a fantasy or myth to them. They know how magic works because of their fantasy stories and myths in the early days of Earth.
However, they use materials called technologies in their daily life like a lacrima in Earthland that can be used in daily chores or as communication. Lucy has one of these technologies called the phone, this phone is a way for others to communicate within a hundred miles or a few meters away from each other, the people on Earth use these phones in many ways that anyone can imagine.
Lucy uses her phone to contact the people she knows on Earth, informing them that they'll be arriving shortly.

"Mi-chan, Rin-chan~ I should be able to arrive at your place in about ten minutes or so after I say goodbyes to my family, don't forget Happy is coming along too." – Lucy texted them
"Oh, hello Lucy-chan! Well Rintarou is going to be at the house today so ring the bell when you get here I can't wait!!" – Mi-chan replied to Lucy
"See you soon, Lucy." – Rin-chan also replied
"Okay bye-bye." – Lucy replied to the two

As Lucy put her phone away, she packed and got all of her stuff in the celestial realm by asking Virgo if she could put her stuff along with Happy's in their world for a few minutes until they arrived on Earth at the new place they'll be staying at for awhile.
After putting away their stuff in the celestial realm, Lucy takes a final bath and then dresses up presently as she is wearing a black simple buttoned-up short that reaches half of her thigh. On her top, she wears a white blouse that has a hole in her shoulder and a pattern of white flowers sews into it.
She puts on light make up consisting of only a lip glossed on her smooth and butterfly-like lips and light blush. For her shoes, Lucy wears creamy colored doll shoes with a small ribbon at the center in front.
After handling all the preparations needed to be done before her departure, she and Happy went to the field in front of the castle they lived for the past few years where everyone was waiting to say their goodbyes before they left on their journey.
She sees her mother, Layla, her father, Acnologia (he immediate said his farewell and bear hug before flying away as too. much work has piled up for him), her brother, Zeref, and the other dragons who became her friends and instructors waiting for the two to say their farewells and good luck-bear hugs.
"Lulu~ you're leaving me..." – cried Zeref who tackled Lucy to the ground as he gives her a bear hug that could crack her backbones multiple times. Zeref is not evil anymore as he was woken from the rage he felt before, and also Lucy knows the truth behind it so there is no harm in not being on guard when he is around and beside Zeref is still Lucy's brother.
"I know Zer-nii, but I promised to always come and visit whenever I can!" – Lucy smiles happily wishing to cheer her brother crying while she returns his bear hug.
"Lucy, you have really grown up to be the woman I always thought you can be, I am so proud. Have you messaged Miwa that you both we're on your way?" – Layla asked her dear daughter
Layla is the one who decided for Lucy to visit the people in her childhood days at some point in her life. She wants her daughter to be happy and to not let those people who betrayed her daughter control Lucy's decision in life. It's all fine for Layla to see her daughter working hard in her practice every day because she can see that Lucy was still stuck and hurt from what those people did to her when she was living in Earthland.
Layla can see that the motivations Lucy uses to push herself in training are to prove herself that she is not the weak, useless, and damsel in distress kind of a woman, that she has the power to grow stronger and save herself from anything. These motivations are acceptable for Layla as it gives her daughter a reason to have her fighting spirit, however, if these motivations are being used in the wrong way then Layla decided to step in.
Lucy can understand her mother when she heard said an advised to her about visiting certain people she met during her childhood days at some point. Lucy knows that her past is affecting her life decisions, before she felt this drive of proving them wrong that she could be much more powerful than them and show them how much stronger she is compared to them by revenge, by pulling them down from their first place of being the powerful guild.
She thought that will be the only way for her to move forward in her life, Lucy didn't consider finding a new way of life like finding new friends and people she can treat as a family. But now, it's different because Lucy has awoken from her stupor of stupidness in getting revenge on how they treated her. She realizes that it's just a waste of time when she can just go somewhere to find what she is looking for in life.
Love.
Acceptance.
Happiness.
Freedom.
"Thank you, Mama, but that reminds me, I should get going before they may think something went wrong. I already said goodbye to father since he's too busy because of work" – Lucy chuckled slightly as they nodded in understanding.
"That man always pushes everything to last minute and now his suffering the consequences of his actions. Geez that man never learns even after all these years." – Layla huffed begrudgingly making everyone laugh in the process.
"He is the Dragon King, you can't blame for how we rule things, Layla." – said Igneel as he smirked.
Seeing the time was getting close Happy and Lucy gave their final hugs and goodbyes to everyone that is seeing them off, then Lucy opens up a portal as it materializes itself, both of them step in as the portal sent themselves in front of the Sunrise Residence. Lucy walked at the front door with Happy snuggling in her arms, she noticed that she is in a residence that is huge and can be called a mansion.
She tilted her head in confusion wondering if this is the right location but when she saw the mailbox addressing the Asahina family.
"Lushieeee~ is this the right place?" – Happy asked
"I think so, welp, we won't know 'till we ring the bell." – Lucy shrugged of her shoulder as she presses the doorbell.
In the living room of the residence, there are thirteen brothers and one brunette girl, and their parents sitting comfortably on the couch side by side. They are waiting for the said guest that their parents want them to meet as this guest is important to their parents as she will be living with them starting from now on.
"Man, why we are we all called here..." – Yusuke muttered as the whole Asahina family was gathered in the living room.
"Mom said that someone important was going to be staying here, so we all had to come and welcome them." – Masaomi replied
"That's right you guys, even though Mama and Papa said to treat them well as they are coming for a fresh start, so make sure to not judge them in any way." – Ukyo said with a stern look that sent shivers towards all of their spines downwards.
"Why couldn't they just come to meet me instead." – Fuuto grumbled
"They will have things to unpack in order to stay here from now on." – Ukyo chuckled
"It's only more respectful if everyone gathers to introduce themselves to the new guest." – Ukyo continues
"It's been a long time since us brothers and our little sister have been gathered like this." – Hikaru smiled
*Ding Dong*
"They are finally here, come on Honey!" – Miwa is getting excited as she rushed towards the front door.
"I'm coming!" – Rintarou sighed, but he followed her with a smile on his face
After some time of waiting in the living room and hearing the front door being open as they talked among themselves.
"It appears to be another girl." – Kaname smiled hearing the voice of their guest getting closer.
"Now, Ema doesn't have to be the only one in this house full of dogs." – Natsume smiled
"But I liked giving her all of my attention since she's our precious little sister." – Tsubaki whined
"I feel as though I recognized that voice from somewhere..." – Ema whispered to herself watching as the couple walked towards them.
"So, boys and girls I want you to meet..." – Miwa trailed off as she moved to the side along with Rintarou to reveal a short girl holding a blue cat. Everyone's eyes widened at what they were seeing as if they were at a loss for words being in a trance of the beauty in front of them. She had long smooth golden blonde hair that reached her knees wearing simple and casual clothes that show off her curves in the right place.
The cat in her arms is extremely unusual and unique that is wearing a green bag on his back.
"Konnichiwa Minna, my name is Lucy Heartfillia, I am 17 years old and will be living here from now on. This is my best friend and partner, Happy, please take care of us." – the angel bowed with a cheerful smile plastered in her lips.
