Seo-Won sprinted through the campus, his heart pounding as he followed Ha-Joon's last known location. But as he turned the corner, his blood ran cold.
Ha-Joon's bag lay abandoned on the pavement. A small smear of blood stained the strap.
Seo-Won's grip tightened into a fist, his entire body trembling with fury. His usually warm blue eyes darkened, turning ice-cold with rage.
Without wasting a second, he pulled out his phone. "Find him. Now." His voice was deadly calm, a sharp contrast to the storm brewing inside him.
His men sprang into action, scanning security cameras and combing through the area. It didn't take long before they traced Ha-Joon's location—an old, abandoned building at the edge of campus.
Seo-Won didn't wait. He raced there at full speed.
When he kicked open the rusted door, the sight before him made his blood boil.
Ha-Joon was slumped against the wall, his head bleeding, his breath shaky.
And standing over him, laughing like a maniac, was Min-Soo.
"You really are weak," Min-Soo sneered, raising his fist again.
BAM!
Before Min-Soo could land another hit, Seo-Won's foot connected with his gut, sending him crashing to the floor.
A heavy silence fell over the room.
Min-Soo coughed, groaning in pain, but Seo-Won didn't even glance at him. His entire focus was on Ha-Joon.
Kneeling down, he gently touched Ha-Joon's bruised cheek. "Ha-Joon…" His voice was soft, but filled with suppressed fury.
Ha-Joon blinked weakly, his lips parting as if to say something, but Seo-Won could see he was in too much pain.
That was the last straw.
Seo-Won's men stormed in, surrounding Min-Soo. Without hesitation, they grabbed him and delivered blow after blow, making sure he felt every ounce of Seo-Won's wrath.
But Seo-Won had no time for Min-Soo.
He carefully lifted Ha-Joon into his arms. "You're safe now," he whispered.
Ignoring Min-Soo's muffled groans, Seo-Won carried Ha-Joon out, his jaw clenched.
The only thing that mattered now was getting Ha-Joon to the hospital—and making sure something like this never happened again.
