Chapter 1 - Let's Get Divorce

The clock struck 1:00 AM, casting a mystical spell over the sleeping town. The gentle breeze whispered secrets to the trees, their leaves rustling softly as they fell to the ground. The world was hushed, wrapped in a serene silence.

But amidst this peaceful backdrop, Ria's heart beat with anticipation. She sat on the bed, her slender figure draped in a crimson frock that accentuated her porcelain skin. Her raven tresses cascaded down her back like a waterfall of night, framing her heart-shaped face.

Ria's eyes gleamed with a mix of hope and longing as she waited for her husband, Rahul. The air was heavy with the scent of expectation, and Ria's stomach growled softly, reminding her that she had skipped dinner in her eagerness to see Rahul.

Their marriage was just a week old, but the distance between them seemed to yawn like an insurmountable chasm. Rahul didn't love Ria, and the knowledge cut her deep. They slept in separate rooms, a silence as wide as the ocean separating them.

Yet, Ria's love for Rahul refused to be extinguished. She yearned for him to notice her, to love her, to bridge the gap between them. And so, she waited, her heart aflame with hope, as the night wore on, shrouding their uncertain future in an impenetrable veil of darkness.

Three hours had ticked by, and Ria's wait for Rahul had become an eternity. The silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the soft sound of her own breathing. Her eyelids had grown heavy, and she had dozed off, exhausted by the weight of her anticipation.

Rahul was a man of immense wealth, his coffers overflowing with the riches that his thriving programming company, Rahul Tech Solutions, had amassed. As the founder and CEO, Rahul's visionary leadership and innovative approach had catapulted his company to the pinnacle of success, earning him a reputation as a trailblazer in the tech industry.

Just as she was drifting into a dream, the creak of the door broke the stillness. Rahul stepped into the room, his tall frame clad in a sleek black three-piece suit. His eyes scanned the space, coming to rest on Ria's peaceful form.

Ria's eyes fluttered open as Rahul approached her. She felt a jolt of surprise, her heart skipping a beat as their gazes met. Rahul's eyes softened, and he reached out to gently lift Ria onto the bed.

As he cradled her in his arms, Ria's voice whispered out, barely audible. "You're back?" The words hung in the air, laden with emotion, as Rahul's eyes locked onto hers, his expression a mix of tenderness and longing.

Rahul's deep voice filled the room as he replied, "Yes, I just got back." Ria's eyes sparkled with a mix of excitement and nervousness. "I'll get dinner ready. I haven't eaten yet, either. We can eat together."

Rahul's expression softened, but his words were laced with a hint of detachment. "I've already eaten. You go ahead." Ria's face fell, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm not hungry, either."

The air was thick with unspoken emotions as Rahul shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "There's something I wanted to talk to you about." Ria's eyes locked onto his, her voice trembling. "I have something to say, too."

Rahul's gaze seemed to bore into her soul. "You first." Ria took a deep breath, her words spilling out in a rush. "It's been a week since our wedding, but we're still strangers. I love you, Rahul, but I feel like we're drifting apart. Can we...can we go somewhere together tomorrow?"

Rahul's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with anger. "What are you talking about?" he spat, his voice venomous. "You think I'm interested in romantic getaways with you?" He yanked his coat open, revealing a set of divorce papers, which he slammed onto the table.

Ria's eyes widened in horror as Rahul snarled, "Sign these. I don't love you, and I don't want to be with you. You're the reason my girlfriend broke up with me. I hate you." With that, he turned and stormed out of the room, leaving Ria shattered and alone.

Tears streamed down Ria's face as she crumpled to the floor, her heart broken into a million pieces. She wept until exhaustion claimed her, and she fell into a fitful sleep, surrounded by the shattered remnants of her dreams.
