Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Parting Gift

After that, he returned to his kitchen to brew some refined tea for the honorable guest. Of course, his eyes couldn't help but throw sneaky glances at the blind seer.

Her cascading blond hair flows down her back, reaching her slim waist. Sunny had no doubt it would glow brightly in the amidst the sun ray, further more raising her already mesmerizing appearance even more. She probably looks just like a goddess descending from heaven. It is a shame that he could not witness it.

Then again, even if it is dark outside, her hair had a new kind of beauty. In this dark and forsaken land, only a tiny river of yellow can be seen in this colorless world. Only she, stands out in this dying world. Her refined body with a slim waist, delicate hands and tantalizing sanguine lips. Each movement she made was filled with elegance. Couple that with her cool demeanor then you have an angel amidst this hopeless world. An angel that sure would guide you out to the light.

' Lost from Light ... Agh! What am I thinking. She is Cassie. That same Cassie that you know from all that time ago. She is supposedly a kind hearted and innocent girl. Well, judging from her past deeds, maybe she is more akin to witch than an angel. '

Sunny sighed as he entered the kitchen. It is not like he had randomly come up with those weird thoughts.

After a large amount of the human population entered the dream realm... There had been quite a shift in the dream realm's culture. More and more people started to speak in old mannerism. Some said that this mannerism comes from a time date back even longer than anyone could ever remember. They called it the Medieval time or whatever. Apparently, the Waking world used to be very similar to the current Dream Realm, albeit without any hideous monster.

In any case, people were starting to follow this weird trend. As a humble shopkeeper living in Bastion himself, Sunny obviously needs to adapt to the trend. So, he had done a bit of study regarding the mannerism that people like to speak. He was quite confident in his ability to mimic their speaking habit now.

Great, now he is probably by far the most educated slum rat and homeless person in this two world. A resounding achievement that he prides himself on. It is much harder to change his speaking mannerism compared to killing Great Beasts after all.

Sunny retained a confident smile as he laid down the food and tea for Cassie.

As Cassie sipped the refreshing tea. Her smile widened:

" Spectacular, I myself have tried a lot of Tea but none ever come close to this level. It both taste delicious and even have some kind of magical property to it. Is this a work of memory? "

Sunny stayed silence for a moment... Until he couldn't tolerate the pain anymore.

" Yes, it is the work of a memory... And about what kind of memory and how I brewed this, i sincerely hope that you would not pry. It is my recipe for my business and success. I'm afraid it is my living straw. "

"I see."

Sunny was caught off guard by her response, his lips couldn't help but turn into a small smile. However he panicked and tried to restrain himself from appearing rude in front of a blind seer. Of course, his futile attempt at hiding his emotion couldn't escape the blind seer's view, she is sharing his senses after all.

"Master Sunless... Did you just."

Her words made the atmosphere tense up.... Then a melodic laugh resounded:

"I'm sorry Master Sunless, but I want to lighten up the mood a bit... You seem to be a bit heartbroken. Is it because of me? My apology If I had said something wrong. "

"No it was my fault milady. I had thought of a sorrowful memory of the past. "

In truth, he was reminiscing about Endless Spring. It was Cassie's first and last gift for him. Of course, that memory was by far the one he cherished the most. Not only because of the significant meaning that it held, but also because of its usefulness.

Sunny couldn't help but think about the numerous times that this memory had saved him. Truly a blessing from the goddess. Yet it was a shame that the previous owner had completely neglected this memory. That was why his emotion fluctuated a bit.

Then he looked at Cassie. Again, he couldn't help himself but to stare at her intricate face.

'Adorable but tinted with a bit of seduction'

Even if the general awakens all possess great beauty, Cassie was undoubtedly the most gorgeous out of them. Which was quite an impressive feat since Sunny had come across a lot of beauties before.

One notable candidate is the unblemished star that the world did not deserve: Nephis.

Another one is the deadly seductive woman that would enthrall anyone dare to lay their eyes on her: Seishan.

Finally, the War Princess herself, Morgan who bears such an overwhelmingly charming aura that drew people to her.

However, in front of Cassie, they were all lacking. Cassie possessed a soft and delicate demeanor that made other involuntarily want to protect her from the ugly world.

At the same time, her body was well built with graceful contour and wicked curves that could capture any man's heart.

Moreover, her calm and collected aura made others want to trust her unconditionally, being hopelessly attracted to her.

Finally, she wore a blindfold on her exquisite face. It ignited people's desire, especially men, to see what is behind the blindfold. They yearned deeply to be blessed with a chance to witness her fully uncovered face. Who wouldn't be? Because even if people couldn't see her eyes, they were already madly in love with her. So one could never imagine when she untied that blindfold, what would happen?
