Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Betting Against the Market

Jiang Han took a deep breath and carefully examined Yongan Industrial's stock data.

He immediately understood why Zhang Chongan had reacted so strongly.

The stock had hit its lower limit!

It had only been an hour since the market opened, and Yongan Industrial had already plunged to its daily loss cap.

For an ordinary investor, this was an obvious sign to stay away. A stock that had fallen to its lower limit so quickly was like a sinking ship—almost impossible to salvage.

But for Jiang Han, this was an opportunity.

His system had already calculated it:

> [Yongan Industrial]

Ultra-short-term return: 20%

Holding period: 12 hours

A full reversal from the lower limit to the upper limit would net him 20% in a single day.

This was his chance.

"Doesn't matter if it hit the lower limit," Jiang Han said calmly. "Invest everything in Yongan Industrial."

Zhang Chongan's expression twisted in disbelief.

"Are you out of your mind?! Say that again!"

Jiang Han's voice remained steady. "Put all of it into Yongan Industrial."

Zhang Chongan's face darkened. "Have you completely lost it? They just reported terrible earnings, and the company is rumored to be facing restructuring! That's why the stock is crashing! It's toxic!"

He clenched his fists. "You want to bet your entire capital—25 million yuan with leverage—on a junk stock like this?"

Jiang Han remained unfazed. "Senior brother, I studied finance too. This isn't a whim."

His serious tone made Zhang Chongan hesitate.

"Listen to me," Jiang Han continued, "I know Yongan Industrial's stock looks terrible right now. But look at the bigger picture."

Zhang Chongan folded his arms. "I'm listening."

Jiang Han snapped his fingers. "Their stock price has crashed for five days straight. They've lost over 100 million in market value. Everyone assumes the company is doomed because they don't have capital."

He pulled out the newspaper he bought earlier.

"See? The headlines talk about their debt crisis. But there's no actual negative news about their business operations."

Zhang Chongan skimmed the article. His frown deepened.

"What are you getting at?"

Jiang Han smirked. "If someone injects capital at this exact moment and stops the free fall, what do you think will happen?"

"Retail investors will panic-buy."

"They'll think Yongan Industrial has secured new funding. They'll rush to buy back the stock."

"And when that happens, the price will skyrocket."

Zhang Chongan's jaw dropped.

He stared at Jiang Han, stunned by his logic.

It made sense.

Yongan Industrial's stock wasn't falling because of poor performance—it was a perception issue. If investors saw a big player investing, they'd assume the company had recovered.

And the price would rebound instantly.

"But…" Zhang Chongan still hesitated.

"This is too risky! We're talking about all your money! You could lose everything!"

Jiang Han shrugged. "It's only 25 million. Even if I lose, I'll just take it as experience."

"..."

Zhang Chongan was speechless.

Jiang Han's attitude toward money was terrifying.

"…Fine," he sighed. "I'll buy it."

A few minutes later, the transaction was completed.

Zhang Chongan handed Jiang Han his bank card back, his face still full of regret.

"Done. But I swear, this is madness…"

Jiang Han didn't respond.

He stared at the big screen displaying Yongan Industrial's stock.

Most investors in the hall were chatting casually.

"Hey, did you hear? Yongan Industrial is done for."

"Yeah, I just checked—it hit the lower limit again. That's five days in a row!"

"Man, I'm so glad I sold early. Otherwise, I'd be crying right now."

"Serves them right. Even though there's no official news, the rumors about their debt crisis were enough to destroy them."

"Either way, it's not our problem. Let's just sit back and watch the show."

Jiang Han ignored them.

His system had never been wrong.

All he had to do was wait.

And when Yongan Industrial's stock exploded upwards, he would be the only one laughing.
