Chapter 1 - The Encounter

In a room filled with young men and woman all seated for the same purpose, some of them walked anxiously around the room, others tapped their feet on the ground as a way of calming themselves. A new candidate is called upon every five minutes and the previous one walks in feeling either disappointed, ashamed or blue. The secretary walked in again and the room was as quiet as a grave yard. Everybody anitipating to hear the next number.

"206, please step out" the secretary said adjusting her glasses as she looked through her file and back to the candidate. A confident figure stood up, brushing her dark hair backwards before walking towards the secretary to lead the way. She strode through the hallway with a sense of purpose, her steps echoing determination and confidence. The secretary led the way, guiding her towards the room where her future awaited. With each step, she exuded a quiet strength, a blend of nerves and excitement simmering beneath her poised exterior. As she approached the door to the interview room, she took a deep breath, ready to showcase the skills and preparation that had brought her to this moment. Opening the door slowly before stepping in with her elegant attire spoke volumes - a tailored navy blue pantsuit that hugged her frame perfectly, paired with a delicate silk blouse that added a touch of sophistication.

She sat a table across the a man, he's eyes buried in her file as he scanned through it, probably looking for errors or something to contradicts everything. The silence in the room made her anxiety grow little by little which she occasionally took deep breathes to calm. Finally, he met her gaze and her heart skipped a beat. She had no idea what was going to happen next nor what she was expected to do so she cracked a small smile, hoping it would release some tension between them but he's expression didn't change a bit. He's blonde hair was packed in ponytail style, allowing some strands to fall over his face and ears, he's lose tie hand around his neck as muscles flexed through his white shirt.

"Your CV is impressive" He started and I was taken aback by he's deep calm voice.

"Dalia, is it ?" He asked and she nodded in affirmation.

Just then, two other prominent men walked in, both of them exuded an aura of charm and sophistication, their features striking and captivating. With chiseled jawlines and piercing eyes that seemed to hold stories untold, they looked like they could effortlessly commanded attention. The first one's suit had a few golden design on it while the other was just plane black. They both sat on the couch set beside her. Dalia could feel their heavy gaze on her but decides to totally ignore.

"Aren't you a little too young to be working ?" The dark hair man said as he sat lazily on the couch. Dalia was very aware of he's reason for asking that question, she was already twenty one but has the body of an eighteen years told girl. It wasn't her fault she looks way younger than her age. Suddenly, her face turned pale the moment she looked at he's face, as if all blood was drained from her body, her hands began to shake as her eyes widen in horror. She could have said something but it was as if she lost her voice. Flash backs of painful memories began to resurface in her head, she could only shake her head in denial.

The man in front of her cleared he's throat, gaining her attention once again. He arranged her file in his hands, putting them in order before passing it over to her.

"Our secretary will pass in formation to you in the next twenty four hours" He said.

She could only nod as she got up to leave, feeling my head spinning. Dalia walked down the hallway, still feeling the shock from her encounter. That was the last person she ever wanted to see again in her life. Its been two years now and she was still recovering from what had happened.
