[Monthly Quest Completed: 1,000,000 berries and a single-masted sailboat have been added to your inventory. 5 bond points have been awarded.]

[Achievement Unlocked: "First Companion" – 1 achievement point.]

"Hello, I'm Ethan Voss, your companion," Ethan introduced himself with what he thought was a friendly smile.

"Companion..." Akame's expression showed a hint of sadness.

"I'll always be with you, and I'll never abandon you!" Ethan said with a pure, innocent smile, though his words came off as painfully blunt.

Biu~ Akame, who had just experienced betrayal by her comrades, felt as if she had been shot through the heart. Her sad eyes showed a glimmer of happiness, and her cheeks slowly turned red. "Really?" she asked, her crimson eyes filled with a mix of hope and seriousness.

"Of course! A real man never lies!" Ethan declared without a hint of guilt, despite his habit of telling small lies in his past life.

[Ding You have a new message.]

[Akame's affection has increased. Bond Level  to 2 (Close Friend). 1 bond point has been earned.]

'That was way too easy,' Ethan couldn't help but complain again.

[Choose game difficulty: "Easy" or "Hell"?]

'EASY! Always fucking easy,' Ethan, who always played games on the easiest difficulty, had no intention of challenging himself. 'I'm here to play the game, not to let the game play me,' he justified, though it was really just his lack of skill.

"Gurgle..." A loud stomach growl interrupted Ethan's internal monologue. "Hungry?" he asked.

"Yeah, I haven't eaten because of the assassination mission," Akame replied shyly.

"Let's go, Captain will treat you to a feast!" Ethan, who had just earned 1 million berries from completing the quest, confidently led Akame to a fancy restaurant. However, he forgot one crucial detail—Akame, despite her slim appearance, was a hidden glutton, especially when it came to meat. She could eat massive amounts without gaining weight, a fact that would infuriate anyone who gained weight just by looking at food.

'Ah, even when eating like a beast, a beautiful girl still looks charming,' Ethan thought as he watched Akame devour her meal. If his smile were to be visualized, it would undoubtedly appear as a creepy grin.

When the bill arrived, Ethan couldn't help but think, 'Maybe we should just dine and dash.' But when he saw Akame sitting awkwardly, her shoulders hunched and her arms tucked in, he reluctantly pulled out 677,000 berries.

[Current Money: 621,000 berries]

'Time to make some money,' Ethan thought, his heart aching as he watched half his savings disappear. He forced a smile and said to Akame, "Let's go! We need to prepare for our journey!"

"Okay!" Akame nodded energetically, her stomach now full, and followed Ethan.

After purchasing a map of the East Blue, a compass, and some seasonings for cooking, the newly formed team headed to the coast to collect bounty posters from the Marines. When they reached the shore, Ethan dramatically "pulled" something out of his chest (actually from his inventory), and the single-masted sailboat materialized in mid-air, splashing into the water.

"Ah, this is just a special storage space. Don't be surprised," Ethan explained, though he was really just paying homage to the trope of beauties pulling impossibly large objects from their plump chests.

"Let's set sail! We'll wipe out all the pirate crews in the East Blue and leave no enemies for the protagonist to fight!" Ethan raised his fist and declared.

"Yeah!" Akame mirrored his gesture, her natural grace making the pose far more appealing than Ethan's.

"Uh... I don't actually know how to sail a ship..." Ethan suddenly realized he had no experience operating a sailboat.
