Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Start of A Journey

The canopy of emerald leaves shimmered, dappled sunlight painting the forest floor in a mosaic of light and shadow.

A chorus of birdsong filled the air, a serene symphony that masked the subtle rustle of unseen creatures. But beneath the ancient boughs of a towering oak, an anomaly stirred.

A man, his face etched with confusion, pushed himself into a sitting position, his eyes scanning the unfamiliar surroundings.

"Where...?" Ryan's voice was a rough whisper, his brow furrowed. A splitting headache slammed into him, a wave of disorientation that threatened to overwhelm him.

He gripped his temples, a groan escaping his lips as fragmented memories surged into his consciousness. Images of a cramped cubicle, endless spreadsheets, and the soul-crushing monotony of corporate life flashed before his eyes, followed by a sudden, jarring darkness.

The pain subsided, leaving behind a chilling realization. "No... way," he breathed, his eyes wide. "I actually... transmigrated?" A surge of exhilaration washed over him, a manic grin spreading across his face.

"Finally! Free from those corporate vultures!" He erupted in a short, sharp burst of laughter, the sound echoing through the tranquil forest.

"So, I guess I really did work myself to death," he muttered, his smile fading. "All those overtime hours, not a single vacation... well, goodbye, Ryan Reynolds, the company donkey." He couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of sharing a name with a famous actor.

"Alright, focus," he said, shaking his head. "Where the hell am I?"

As if in response, a translucent blue panel shimmered into existence before him.

[Booting up...]

[Congratulations, Host. You have been granted a second chance.]

[You have also received the 'Village First, Ladies Later' system, courtesy of the God of Mischief.]

Ryan stared, his jaw slack. "Holy... a system? Just like in the novels!" A wave of giddy excitement washed over him. "What kind of system are you?"

[Answering Host. I am designed to guide you towards becoming a legendary leader and a powerful ninja.]

"Ninja? Wait... am I in... Naruto?" The realization hit him like a physical blow.

[Affirmative. This system will assist you in gathering formidable subordinates and establishing the greatest ninja village.]

[Missions will be provided to facilitate your progress.]

[As a newly transmigrated Host, you will receive a Beginner Pack.]

[Would you like to claim the Beginner Pack, Host?]

Ryan paused, his mind racing. "A ninja village... that's a lot to take in." He remembered the devastating power of characters like Pain, the sheer scale of the shinobi world. "Okay, caution is key."

"Claim Beginner Pack," he said, his voice firm.

[Beginner Pack claimed!]

[Congratulations! You have received: Elemental Affinity Mastery (Wind)]

[You have unlocked: 'Wind Release: Wind Blade' and 'Wind Release: Gale Palm']

[Congratulations! You have received: Territory Teleport]

[Congratulations! You have received: Talent Card x2]

[Congratulations! You have received: Jonin Level Chakra]

"Whoa, that's a lot," Ryan murmured, his eyes scanning the notifications. "System, descriptions, please."

[Elemental Affinity Mastery (Wind): Your affinity for Wind Release is elevated to the highest level of mastery.]

[Territory Teleport: Allows instant teleportation to any territory you own, along with recognized villagers.]

[Talent Card: Enhances existing talents or grants new ones.]

[Jonin Level Chakra: Provides a chakra reserve equivalent to a seasoned Jonin ninja.]

"Jonin level chakra... that's a huge boost," Ryan said, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Territory teleport could be incredibly useful, but I need a territory first. And the talent cards... those could be game-changers." He paused, considering the implications of his newfound abilities. He then use the Jonin level chakra which instantly makes his ordinary body become full of chakra. Satisfied with it he become determined.

"Okay, system, what's my first mission?"

[Main Mission #1: The Start of Hidden Village]

[Description: To be a village leader, one must first have a territory to manage. The Host is tasked to decide where to build his village.]

[Rewards: Jonin Level Chakra, Talent Card, Bloodline Limit]

"Decide? Not find?" Ryan frowned, his brow furrowed. "That's... convenient. Or maybe a trap?" He eyed the system notification suspiciously. "If it's 'decide,' that means there are pre-selected locations. Okay, system, show me the options."

[Affirmative. Host must choose carefully.]

[Available Locations:]

[Land of Fire's Valley: A secluded valley near the Land of Fire's border. Rich in medicinal herbs and diverse wildlife.

Buffs: Increased Medical Jutsu Mastery, Accelerated Healing, Improved Summoning Jutsu.]

[Land of Earth's Mountain: A massive mountain in the western Land of Earth. Abundant caves and mineral deposits.

Buffs: Increased Earth Jutsu Mastery, Enhanced Physical Resilience, Increased Physical Strength.]

[Land of Demons' Prairie: Located in the heart of the Land of Demons. Large herbivore populations and ample water resources.

Buffs: Increased Earth Jutsu Mastery, Increased Physical Strength, Increased Chakra Reserves.]

[Land of Water's Island: A remote island in the eastern Land of Water. Unique marine life and variable weather patterns.

Buffs: Increased Water Jutsu Mastery, Increased Wind Jutsu Mastery, Improved Bloodline Limit Potential.]

Ryan read through the options, his mind racing. "Okay, Land of Fire... healing and summons, that's good. Land of Earth, defense and strength. Land of Demons, resources and chakra. Land of Water... bloodline potential? That's interesting."

He paused, considering the implications of each location. "The Land of Fire is tempting, being close to the main stage of the story, but that also means more trouble. Land of Earth is solid, but a bit... static. The Land of Demons... that's a wild card. And the Land of Water... that bloodline thing is really intriguing."

He thought about the shinobi world, the constant conflicts and the ever-present threat of powerful enemies. "I need a place that's defensible, resourceful, and has room to grow. I also need to think about the long term."

"The Land of Fire, while having great buffs, is too close to the main storyline, and means more contact with the main powers. The Land of earth, while having great defense, is to far away from the main land of fire, and would mean less contact with the main shinobi world. The Land of Demons, while having great resources, is located at the center of the minor nations, and would mean constant war. The Land of Water, while having great bloodline potential, is an island, and would mean limited resources for large scale growth, and isolation."

"System, what's the climate like in the Land of Water's Island?"

[The climate is variable, with periods of heavy rainfall, strong winds, and occasional typhoons.]

"Variable... that could be a double-edged sword," Ryan mused. "But the bloodline potential... that's too good to pass up. And the water and wind mastery buffs could be incredibly versatile."

"I choose the Land of Water's Island."

[Land of Water's Island has been chosen.]

[Congratulations! You have completed a mission!]

[You have received: Jonin Level Chakra, Talent Card, Bloodline Limit.]

"Time to cash in," Ryan grinned, a spark of anticipation in his eyes. He focused, channeling the Jonin Level Chakra reward. The energy surged through his meridians, doubling his already substantial reserves, and solidifying his chakra into a denser, more potent form. "Feels like a tidal wave of power," he muttered, flexing his fingers. "Now, for the real prize..."

[You have used 'Bloodline Limit.']

[Congratulations! You received: Ice Release.]

[You unlocked 'Ice Release: Frostbite Needles' and 'Ice Release: Chilling Mist']

"Ice Release? Seriously?" A wide, almost disbelieving smile spread across Ryan's face. "Talk about hitting the jackpot! And in the Land of Water, no less. It's like the system knew exactly what I needed." He stood, a surge of energy coursing through him. "Let's see what this baby can do."

"Interface," he commanded, and the familiar blue screen flickered into existence.

"F-rank, as expected," Ryan sighed, but his eyes held a determined glint. "But not for long." He stepped away from the tree, ready to put his new abilities to the test. "Wind Release: Wind Blade!"

He formed the hand seals, the sequence flashing through his mind with perfect clarity. A sharp, crescent-shaped blade of wind materialized, slicing through the air with a faint whistling sound before impacting a nearby tree. The trunk splintered, a shallow gash appearing. "Not bad for a first try," he mused.

Next, he focused on his Ice Release. "Ice Release: Frostbite Needles!" His chakra shifted, a cold energy swirling around him. Crystalline needles formed, shimmering with an icy blue light. With a flick of his wrist, they shot forward, leaving trails of frost in their wake, and piercing through the tree's trunk with a sharp, cracking sound. "Damn, that's potent," he breathed, a thrill running through him.

An hour of intense practice followed, Ryan familiarizing himself with his new techniques. The air crackled with wind and ice, the forest echoing with the sounds of his training. Finally, he paused, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow.

"System, where am I currently?"

[Host, you are currently in the Land of Rivers, southeastern region.]

"And the era?" he asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

[The world is still in the Warring States period, Host.]

"Perfect," Ryan grinned. "No hidden villages yet. That means... opportunities." He envisioned recruiting powerful clans, building his village into a formidable force. "But first, missions."

"Right, gather intelligence, recruit talent, and get to the island," Ryan said, his mind racing. "And a name..." He paused, considering. "Ten'igakure," he declared, a sense of finality in his voice. "The Village Hidden by Heavenly Might. It has a nice ring to it."

He looked towards the direction of the nearest town. "Time to make some moves."
