The Fall of Earth & The Rise of the Abyss
Once, Earth was a world of logic and science, untouched by magic or gods. Wars were fought with bullets, not spells. Power came from knowledge, not divine gifts. But all of that changed the day the Abyss opened—a wound in reality that bled darkness into the world.
It started as a single tear in the sky. Then the ground split apart, and nightmares crawled out.
Plagues spread like wildfire, turning cities into graveyards. Monsters, creatures beyond human understanding, roamed freely, devouring everything in their path. The sun dimmed, the oceans boiled, and for the first time in history, humanity learned what it meant to be truly powerless.
But the Abyss wasn't the only thing that emerged.
From the chaos, new races walked the ruined Earth:
Demons, born from the flames of the Abyss, their strength unnatural, their hunger insatiable.
Elves, wielding magic that defied the laws of nature.
Beastkin, warriors as fierce as the monsters they hunted.
Celestials, beings of divine heritage, their motives unknown.
Humans, terrified and desperate, didn't see them as survivors—they saw them as invaders. And so began the Bloodstained Era, a war so brutal that mercy became a myth.
For centuries, humans fought to remain the rulers of Earth. They refused to share, refused to surrender. But war has a cost. And in the end, that cost nearly wiped them out.
Then, fifty years ago, everything changed.
Faced with extinction, the races made a choice: survival over war. They signed the Interracial Peace Accord, dividing the world into separate territories. No race could wage war against another. Peace had finally come.
But peace was a lie.
The Abyss never stopped growing. It carved twisted landscapes into the Earth—Abyssal Realms, where monsters ruled and reality itself was broken.
And then, the gods arrived.
Not as saviors. Not as conquerors. They came as watchers.
They didn't rebuild cities or mourn the dead. They gave only one thing—power.
From that day forward, every living being—human or otherwise—awakened an ability at thirteen. A gift. A weapon. A means to fight back against the Abyss.
Some called it a blessing. Others saw it as a curse.
But no one could deny one truth:
Earth would never be the same again.
Power Levels & Ranks
Strength in this world isn't just about raw power—it's about evolution. The stronger you become, the further you step from humanity.
1. Power Scale
Normal (1 – 100) – Ordinary humans, no abilities.
Dormant (100 – 1,000) – A weak ability, undeveloped.
Awakened (1,000 – 5,000) – Their power takes form, granting them new abilities.
Ascendant (5,000 – 20,000) – Mastery of magic, ability evolution, regeneration.
Warlord (20,000 – 50,000) – Controls elements, summons abyssal forces, destroys armies.
Paragon (50,000 – 100,000) – Can bend reality, summon Abyssal Lords, level cities.
Archangel (100,000+) – Wields divine power, reshapes existence itself.
??? (Unknown Realm) – A myth, a legend. Some call it the Abyssal Deity or the Void Sovereign.
The Abyssal Trials
To become an Ascendant, one must survive the Abyssal Trials—five ordeals designed to test not just strength, but the very essence of a person's soul. Fail, and you don't just die. You become something else.
1. Trial of Shadows (Mind & Fear)
You are trapped in an illusion of your worst nightmares. Your past twists, memories are corrupted, and the Abyss whispers in your ear. If you break, you become one of its creatures. If you endure, your will becomes unshakable.
2. Trial of Flesh (Endurance & Pain)
Your body is torn apart and rebuilt, over and over again. Abyssal creatures feast on your flesh, and you feel every second of it. If you survive, your body becomes something greater—unyielding, unbreakable.
3. Trial of Blood (Combat & Instincts)
A battlefield with no end. Endless enemies, endless death. The Abyss whispers, tempting you, offering more power for a price. If you give in, you become a monster. If you fight, your instincts sharpen into something inhuman.
Trial of Betrayal (Trust and Resolve)
Everyone you love turns against you. They lie. They attack. They make you doubt yourself. If you hesitate, you are lost. If you endure, you will never again be deceived—your mind will see through all illusions.
5. Trial of Dominion (Power and Control)
Limitless power is placed in your hands, but every time you use it, you risk losing yourself. If you master it, you earn an Abyssal Title, a power unique to you alone.
Abyssal Titles & The Marked
Abyssal Titles – Given only to those who survive all five trials. These names hold power, shaping fate itself.
Abyssal Marks – Those who make pacts with Abyssal beings gain power beyond comprehension… but at a terrible cost.
Wretched Ones
Not everyone who enters the Trials survives. But they don't die, either.
Some are consumed.
Some become twisted beyond recognition.
Once human, now mindless monsters, they stalk the Abyss, hunting those who dare to challenge its power.
They are the warnings. The reminders.
That not all battles are meant to be won.
And that some prices… are too high to pay.
