Chereads / Twisted Fates: A Play of Gods / Chapter 8 - Heal the Terror Demons

Chapter 8 - Heal the Terror Demons

Honestly, even a normal person would pause for three seconds after hearing that.

A male human saying he would give a group of asexual Terror Demons a child? No matter where you said it, it was an explosive statement.

Terror Demons didn't reproduce sexually. They were born from the Fear Mother Tree in the underworld.

The Fear Mother Tree absorbed fear from various realms, and grew new branches, and after some time, the branches would fall off and transform into new Terror Demon individuals.

Amid the shock of everyone, Frank was the first to come to his senses and asked uncertainly, "You plan to… heal the Terror Demons?"

Sincere snapped his fingers. "Bingo, I'll cast a healing spell that will cover the entire ruin. All the Terror Demons will be under the watch of my God and will embrace reproduction."

"Impossible... No priest's healing range can be that large..." Doreen's face turned ashen as she spoke. In her mind, she was beginning to believe that under the intense pressure of survival, Sincere had gone mad.

Such a shame—this guy had a good heart, and he was handsome, but he was losing his mind too quickly.

Sincere didn't explain much further, just smiling as he said, "There's nothing impossible. When you think something's impossible, it's just because your milk supply isn't enough."

Seeing Sincere's teasing glance sweep over her tightly bound breasts, Doreen's pale face instantly flushed red. "You...!!!"

Sincere ignored her, extending his right hand and striking a simple healing gesture. "How much longer can the Holy Light Wall last?"

Baldwin's face darkened. Finally, someone reminded him that the shield's duration was almost up. He didn't know if he should believe Sincere, but seeing how confident Sincere was, he resignedly responded, "You've got enough time to show off for 10 seconds!"

"9 seconds..."

"8!"

"…"

"3!"

"2!"

"Now!" Sincere shouted, and the healing light in his hand surged exponentially.

At the same time, Camille didn't hesitate to swallow a handful of Creation Grass Seeds, conjuring six spore arrows with her right hand. She nocked the bow and aimed at the sky above.

With a whoosh, the six arrows exploded overhead, filled with potent reproductive power.

"1!"

The Holy Light Wall shattered like glass, instantly losing its radiance. The Terror Demons, who had been pressed against the light barrier, suddenly lost their support and began to fall.

The Terror Demons on the outside, seeing the shield had broken, howled and rushed in.

The spore filaments grew wildly in the confined space. The Terror Demons crowded together, leaving almost no gaps in the middle, so a single filament could thread through countless Terror Demons' bodies.

It was unclear whether it was the Terror Demons' frantic attacks that collided or the extra spore arrow's effect, but whatever it was, the time it took for the enemy to reach them was far longer than a second.

Just as everyone's faces turned pale with fear and they began preparing to fight back and break through, Sincere's ultimate move was finally completed.

"Let me show you what a real milk supply looks like! All Corners of the Universe... All Bathed in Divine Grace!"

As the last word left his mouth, a massive holy light struck the nearest Terror Demon in front of Sincere. Then, the light passed through it, quickly refracting in all directions toward its fellow creatures.

This wasn't just a simple healing spell—it was more like a healing chain that could heal multiple creatures.

But the problem was, that healing chains had a diminishing effect. The more creatures it affected, the faster the decay.

With the number of enemies in front of them, this kind of healing might only restore a few hairs.

In previous trials, people had tried healing enemies before. Although Faith Game was a game, it felt more like an alternate reality.

There was no "friendly fire immunity" or "healing enemies is ineffective" mechanic here. If you healed the enemy, they would truly recover and then smack you right back.

So when Frank saw that Sincere had only cast a healing chain, his fear shot through the roof.

What use would this be?

Even if he didn't believe him now, it was too late. With the belief of fighting to the death, he still followed the plan. The moment Sincere made his move, he released an "overload" level area acceleration across the entire ruins, except for the area near them.

"Region, accelerate!!!"

The time in the outer region was sped up, and the Terror Demons suddenly accelerated.

The time around them froze, and everyone was immediately immobilized.

In the limited consciousness, everyone saw the healing chain speeding up more and more, bending more and more. In the blink of an eye, it turned into countless torrents of holy light, violently sweeping across the entire ruins!

The healing was like a massive wave, devouring everything!

Everyone was stunned.

Frank watched the surrounding Terror Demons get closer, then fall into the time-stasis area, forming a bloody wall around them, "protecting" them inside. He couldn't help but wonder, was this also part of the plan?

He gradually lost sight of the outside, and in his last glance, he was still shocked, wondering why Sincere's healing chain wasn't diminishing but increasing!

This chain of healing was becoming more and more intense, and eventually, it directly enveloped the entire ruins!

How was this possible?

Nothing was impossible.

When Sincere's almost frozen thoughts saw the surrounding Terror Demons trapped in time stasis and the new "wall" being built, he knew his plan had succeeded.

The reason he was able to spread the healing chain across the entire ruins was because of his unique S-level class talent: All Bathed in Divine Grace!

This talent allowed him to generate a transmission effect when healing similar life forms. The more similar beings, the larger the healing effect and range.

In the past, due to the team size of no more than 6 people, this effect was only a nice addition.

But now, if all the Terror Demons were considered targets, even if a true god descended, no one could count how many there were.

Even if each individual only gained a 1% boost, doing that 1000 times would multiply the effect.

And that wasn't even considering how many Terror Demons there really were!

Today, here, all the Terror Demons bathed in Sincere's healing chain!

And all of this happened in an instant!

While healing enemies was generally inadvisable, it depended on the situation.

For example, the healing with the divine power of BIRTH wasn't something just anyone could benefit from.

When the terrifying healing light struck them, and aided by the area acceleration, countless Terror Demons' bellies started to swell exponentially before they could react.

The God of BIRTH had now turned its gaze upon them.

Madness immediately unfolded.

The Terror Demons, who were originally asexual monsters, suddenly began to nurture new life in various parts of their bodies. Even though they had no fear, they began to panic.

They reached out with their claws, trying to cut away the swelling bellies, tearing at their flesh in an attempt to kill the new life.

But the powerful healing light instantly healed their wounds.

A deep sense of helplessness rose from their hearts.

They saw their future: each one would become a "mother" raising offspring. Some of them would have more than one "child".

Moreover, the will of BIRTH began to spread wildly, and the already low threshold for rationality in the Terror Demons began to crumble, turning them into abominations that worshipped reproduction.

Just as it seemed like things couldn't get worse, it all spiraled out of control even faster!

Under the influence of the area acceleration, in just a few seconds, the situation became uncontrollable.

All the Terror Demons were enslaved by reproduction. Even without gender, they began mechanically and unconsciously mimicking the most primal actions of nature.

Mating.

Reproducing.

The entire right wing of the Skeleton Legion, in the ruins where no humans were visible, completely let go...

The scene spiraled out of control, descending into utter depravity.

Time continued to accelerate, and all the Terror Demons were frantically mating and reproducing.

Countless Terror Demons were trapped in the frenzy of reproduction, unable to extricate themselves, while the "children" growing inside them swelled larger and larger.

By the time the healing chain finally passed through the last Terror Demon, fulfilling its mission of healing all creatures, the battlefield had already turned into the paradise of BIRTH.

The first wave of afflicted Terror Demons had their stomachs burst open, their "newborns" impatiently emerging, embracing the will of BIRTH. Immediately, they began gnawing on their "mothers," desperate to grow into new "mothers" themselves.

And all of these newborns bore the same face...

A pair of adorable, wide eyes.

And a single tentacled body.

Sincere hadn't intended for this outcome, but his divine power of BIRTH came from that pregnant woman in yesterday's food dungeon—he had no control over it.

This was why he had the DEATH assassin prepare for the Death's Funeral.

Once the area acceleration ended and the tentacle newborns devoured all the Terror Demons, they would become another army—one far more terrifying than the original.

However, the ruins, now littered with the corpses of so many Terror Demons, had become the perfect death domain.

Harriet's final strike would completely erase these abominations—saving all six of them.

This was Sincere's entire plan.

It was just that the rest of their team, trapped inside the Terror Demon Walls, probably wouldn't get to witness this madness firsthand.
