Chapter 1 - Love without any borders

Liam lived in New York, a city that never slept. His days were filled with the rush of subway rides, the hum of traffic, and the endless buzz of conversations. But in the quiet corners of his heart, he longed for something deeper—something that couldn't be found in crowded streets or flashing billboards.

On the other side of the world, in Paris, Sophie walked along the Seine, sketching the world around her. She adored the soft glow of the city lights, the aroma of fresh pastries, and the way art could capture emotions words often failed to express. Yet, despite the beauty of her world, she felt an emptiness she couldn't explain.

Their paths crossed by chance—on an online photography forum where Liam posted a picture of the New York skyline. Sophie commented on it, admiring the way he captured light and shadow. A simple reply turned into a conversation, then into late-night messages, then into something neither of them had planned for.

Over months, they shared their worlds. Liam sent pictures of Central Park in the snow; Sophie sent sketches of Parisian cafés. They talked about their dreams, their fears, the things that made them laugh.

One evening, as they video-called, Sophie smiled softly. "It's strange, isn't it? I've never met you, but it feels like I know you better than anyone."

Liam hesitated, then said, "Maybe that's because love doesn't need a map."

Her breath caught. Love. Had they crossed that invisible line?

But love across oceans wasn't easy. Time zones made conversations difficult. The longing grew unbearable.

One night, Liam sent her a message: What if we stop dreaming about meeting someday? What if we make it real?

Sophie's heart pounded. She had never traveled far from home. But love had already traveled miles for them.

Two weeks later, Liam stood at Charles de Gaulle Airport, his heart racing.

Then, she appeared—wearing a sky-blue dress, her eyes searching for him.

Their gazes met.

Liam stepped forward, his hands shaking slightly. "You're here."

Sophie smiled, her voice barely a whisper. "I am."

In that moment, surrounded by strangers in a foreign land, they knew—home wasn't a place. It was a person. And they had finally found theirs.
