"Ugh... what the hell happened?"
A young girl with short black hair asked herself, feeling an intense headache assault her. She blinked several times before her eyes could make out her surroundings. It was a small room without windows or doors, lit by a few candles. In front of her was someone waving a board in front of their faces.
"Hey there, finally up I see."
From the voice, the young girl could tell it was a woman.
"So your name is... Lacrinea? A unique name! I guess you wanna know why you're strapped to a chair in the middle of god-knows-where."
The woman said, throwing the board and staring intently at the young girl. Without the board covering her face, Lacrinea could see the middle-aged woman's emerald eyes. For some reason, she could not look away no matter how hard she tried.
"...Yes, I'd like to know."
The middle-aged woman smiled,
"Good good but first tell me... how was your day?"
"...Eh?"
"You heard me, how was your day? Don't leave any details!"

RIIIIIIIIIIIING
An alarm echoed loudly through the room before being shut down by a hand. A dark-skinned girl rose and jumped to her feet. She discarded every piece of cloth, wrapped a towel around her torso, and headed into the shower.
Lacrinea returned to her room later and stopped before her weekly schedule. She rolled her eyes and walked up to her mirror, looking at her white and black eyes...
***
"That's another one with heterochromia for me..."
The middle-aged woman said, looking at the ceiling.
"..."
Lacrinea didn't say anything the moment the woman stopped looking at her.
"Oh, keep going."
***
Lacrinea went to her classroom, sat in her chair at the back of the room, put on her earphones, and scrolled on her phone.
***
"Oh? What kind of music are you into?"
The middle-aged woman interrupted once again while munching on a sandwich. As much as Lacrinea didn't want to speak about that, the woman's eyes compelled her to.
"I like many genres but anime openings, endings, OSTs, and Japanese rock music take the cake for me."
"Now I can rub it in Yowa's face..."
The woman muttered, giggling like a little girl. Lacrinea looked down, still unable to process why she told the woman something she never shared with anyone. There was that invasive feeling of friendliness that attacked her whenever the woman looked at her, which she should not be feeling toward a kidnapper.
The middle-aged woman noticed the girl's downcast attitude,
"Intrigued by my powers eh?"
"...Powers?"
Lacrinea repeated incredulously while staring at the woman.
"Anyway, what do you want from me? If it's money, then you're wasting time."
The remark intrigued the middle-aged woman,
"Why is that?"
"Well for one, I'm not the richest kid in the school... lest you're an organ trafficker."
The middle-aged woman seemed offended by the insinuation, making Lacrinea giggle.
"And two, I lived alone for as long I can remember. So, unless you're into organ traffic or something like that, kidnapping me is kinda dumb."
"FIRST OF ALL STOP WITH THE ORGAN TRAFFICKING ALLEGATIONS, YOU BRAT! SECOND, IF IT WAS THAT, DO YOU THINK WE'D BE TALKING AT THE MOMENT!?"
Lacrinea was surprised by the outburst but couldn't help but giggle at the woman's reaction. Until the woman put one hand on her chair, and the next moment the piece of furniture had been reduced to tiny pieces of wood inside a small crater.
"Do you fear for your life now?"
"...Very much."
"Good, but now I'm not in the mood to listen to your story anymore... so I'll go to the point."
The middle-aged woman took out a phone and held it in front of Lacrinea. It was a video of her walking in her school's hallway, then a black mass formed around her. That's where the video stopped.
"...Nice fabrication."
Lacrinea said, clearly not believing in whatever she saw.
"One moment,"
The woman said before snapping her finger...
