The heavy rain pounded against the tinted windows of a luxury black sedan. Inside, Daisuke Kurogane sat in complete silence, staring at the old, run-down football stadium ahead of him. The Blackhaven Stadium—once home to passionate fans and legendary matches—now looked like a forgotten relic of the past.
The FC Blackhaven name still carried weight in football history, but their glory days were long gone. They were now dead last in League Two, drowning in debt, and weeks away from bankruptcy.
Yet, despite all this… Daisuke was smiling.
"Are you sure about this?" asked an older man sitting beside him. William Greaves, the club's former chairman. He had been desperately looking for a buyer, and when Daisuke—a complete outsider—offered to take over, he thought it was a joke.
"I don't think you understand what you're getting into," Greaves continued. "This club… it's falling apart. No investors, no budget, no good players. The fans have lost hope. The city barely cares anymore. You're about to burn your money on a lost cause."
Daisuke adjusted the thin-rimmed glasses on his face. His expression was calm, unreadable.
"I'm not here to make money, Mr. Greaves." He leaned forward slightly. "I'm here to coach."
Greaves looked stunned.
"You bought a football club just to coach?"
Daisuke chuckled. "Is that so strange?"
"YES!" Greaves nearly shouted. "You could've just gotten a coaching license and applied for a job!"
Daisuke shook his head. "No club would ever give a rookie manager complete control. No club would ever let me test my ideas freely. If I want to create a team that plays the way I envision… I have to build it myself."
The chairman sighed, rubbing his temples. This young man was crazy. But… he was also the club's only hope.
Greaves exhaled deeply. "Alright, then. The club is yours."
He handed Daisuke the ownership papers. With a single signature, FC Blackhaven had a new owner.
A new manager.
A new era.
Daisuke Kurogane had officially entered the world of football.
And he had no intention of ever losing.
