Chapter 2 - *Chapter 2: Viral or Vanished?*

**[STREAM ENDED]**

Darkness. Silence.

Then—**a sharp inhale.**

Shin Kiryuu gasped awake, his body drenched in sweat. His pulse pounded in his ears as his senses caught up to him. He was **alive.** The stale, rotten air of the abandoned building still clung to his lungs, and the eerie chill hadn't faded. He sat up abruptly, his hands scrambling for his phone.

Still recording?

No—**disconnected.**

A red notification glowed on his cracked screen.

**[STREAM DISCONNECTED: NETWORK ERROR]**

Shin exhaled slowly, fingers trembling as he scrolled through his chat log. **The last thing his viewers saw was that faceless thing reforming behind him.** After that—blackout.

The **chat replay** was pure chaos.

**[UwU_Ghoul]: BRO WTF HAPPENED?!?** **[DemonHunter_777]: HE'S DEAD. HE'S SO DEAD.** **[MikoMagic]: If he doesn't come back, I swear I'm calling the cops.** **[ShadowFreak]: WAIT. NOBODY MOVE. WE'RE GONNA FIGURE THIS OUT.**

Shin wiped his face with his sleeve, forcing down the shaking in his hands. His entire body was buzzing—partly from adrenaline, partly from the fact that he had just faced down something **he wasn't ready for.** His exorcism skills were decent at best, but that thing had come **back.**

**What the hell did I just fight?**

Then—another realization hit him.

His **viewer count.**

The last number before his stream cut out wasn't in the thousands.

It was in the **tens of thousands.**

Shin blinked at the screen, his vision still a little hazy.

**32,875 LIVE VIEWERS.**

His chest tightened. That wasn't just viral. That was **explosive.** He had barely scraped 1,000 on his best days, and now—

A sudden shiver crawled up his spine.

He wasn't **alone.**

Shin's body went rigid as his instincts screamed at him. His fingers tightened around his phone as he slowly, carefully turned his head toward the far end of the hallway.

The place where the **faceless entity** had been.

Nothing.

No static. No distorted shape lurking in the darkness. No lingering presence.

But the air still felt wrong. **Heavy. Thick. Watching.**

A sharp pain shot through his skull. Shin winced, pressing his palm against his forehead. His breath came slow and uneven as he forced himself up.

No time to sit around. He had to **leave.**

The second he reached the stairs, he **ran.**

By the time he burst out of the building, he could barely breathe. His legs shook as he collapsed onto the pavement, gasping in the cold night air.

"Jesus… what the hell…" he muttered, running a hand through his damp hair.

The building loomed behind him, silent and indifferent. If anyone passed by, they wouldn't think twice about it. Just another abandoned complex in the middle of nowhere.

But Shin knew better now.

This wasn't just some haunted location with a low-level spirit. That **thing** had unfinished business. And if **he** had unfinished business with it, that meant two things:

1. He needed **better exorcism skills.** 2. He needed to figure out **what the hell he just fought.**

His phone vibrated in his grip. A new message.

**[NEW DONATION: ¥10,000 FROM UwU_Ghoul]** **UwU_Ghoul:** *"U ALIVE?!??"*

Another one.

**[NEW DONATION: ¥5,000 FROM MikoMagic]** **MikoMagic:** *"Never scaring me like that again. I swear."*

Then, his entire notification bar **exploded.**

Hundreds of messages. Comments. Shares.

**His stream had gone viral.**

Shin stared at the numbers, his brain still catching up.

People weren't just **watching.** They **believed.**

For the first time in years, someone had **caught real supernatural footage, live.**

And now? **The entire internet was watching.**

By the time Shin got back to his tiny apartment, the world had already **lost its mind.**

- **#DemonHuntLive** was trending across multiple platforms. - Clips of his exorcism attempt had hit over **2 million views.** - Paranormal forums were **analyzing his footage** frame-by-frame. - Skeptics were **trying to debunk it.**

Some called it a hoax. Others swore it was the most legit ghost encounter in modern history.

Shin slumped onto his futon, eyes still glued to his screen. His phone was **blowing up.**

**[DemonHunter_777]: DUDE. YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE EXORCISM.** **[MikoMagic]: WE NEED A PART TWO.** **[UwU_Ghoul]: DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU JUST FOUGHT???** **[KingOfSpooks]: Fake. I'm not convinced.** **[ShadowFreak]: WAIT. PAUSE AT 18:32. LOOK AT THE WALL.**

Shin frowned, clicking the timestamp.

The moment the faceless entity first appeared, something **shifted** in the background.

A **mark.**

Burned into the wall behind the entity. **A sigil.**

Shin's stomach twisted. He knew what it meant.

Someone had **summoned** that thing.

His breath hitched. **This wasn't a random haunting. This was deliberate.**

His phone buzzed. Another notification.

**[Unknown Number]** *"You made a mistake. That wasn't a normal spirit."*

Shin's fingers hovered over the keyboard. Before he could reply, another message popped up.

**[Unknown Number]** *"Meet me at the old temple downtown. If you want to survive."*

Shin exhaled sharply, running a hand over his face.

Great. **Now he had stalkers.**

His first instinct was to ignore it. But the timing was too perfect. Whoever this was, they knew what he had fought.

And if that thing was coming back?

**He needed answers.**

Shin grabbed his hoodie and his keys, locking the door behind him.

This wasn't just content anymore.

This was **real.**
