Chereads / Eternal Sky God / Chapter 7 - 07

Chapter 7 - 07

Now I should have some estimation, right?

Estimated initial level: 0 (+1 rigor)

Initial Location:

Estimated difficulty: medium

Estimated initial equipment: none

Estimated background:

Level 0? That's new; never have a character start at level 0 before.

Not having equipment is standard since I'm starting with a slave right … sooo... difficult medium can be two things: either it's high charisma for a slave or it's estimating a tough place or position to start.

Let's see the possibilities for the initial location then.

Initial Location: Outskirts of Whehim City, Eldrathar(Central), Outskirts of Dunkrar, Merida Pathway, Misty Mountain Peak (South).

WAIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Misty Mountain Peak!!!!!!!!!

God, I wish this was a stream and not a weird dream… This is so fucking insane!

Initial Location: Misty Mountain Peak (South).

Estimated difficulty: medium-hard

The difficulty went up! Well, it's fine; I just need to survive long enough to reach the ancient god's tomb.

Estimated background: Born as a peasant son of a modest farmer with no family name, Astrael lived a happy, simple life until, at the age of 13, mountain bandits attacked the small village you and your family lived in. Most men who bravely fought to protect their homes and families died; the women and children were caught to be sold as slaves.

You were among them and were being transported to the central plains; that is, until the convoy passed near a nest of two sky terror birds, a mighty beast that has more than 30 meters (98 feet) wingspan and was attacked, killing everyone present except you, who survived by burying yourself into the corpses with the price of breaking your left leg.

As you emerged from the gruesome scene, covered in blood and filth, you realized that you were now alone in a world that had turned cruel and unforgiving. With no one to turn to and nowhere to go, you knew that survival would be your only focus from now on.

Debuff: -40% movement speed

WOOOOW! This is kinda goood?! I mean, technically, I won't start as a slave. The problem is the fucking sky terror nest nearby; the debuff is also doable since I'm in no position to be fighting, and the only real option is to sneak by the beasts through the path anyway.

Well, that was fun! Playing this character would be amazing… but…

WTF is Decend? Shouldn't it be play or start?

Well, I've already gone through this madness; I might as well try it, right?

''AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGHHH!!!!!''

''IT HURTS!!!''

''MY LEG''

''FUCK!''

'Wait, did I wake up!? It must be, right?!'

Looking around, I soon became speechless.

Bluegrass, trees almost as tall as a skyscraper, mist all over the place, dark green moss growing everywhere, and a few dots of light floating here and there.

I knew this damn place way too well.

'Fuck no! There's no way, there's absolutely nooo way.'

'Misty Mountain Peak'

From the corner of my eye, something else caught my attention: a shard of metal reflecting my appearance, another thing I knew all too well.

'Astrael'

'No,no,no,no! Let's be rational about it. I was hit by a fucking truck, so I should be either dead or in the hospital.'

'I'm clearly not dead, so, … It's either a hyper-realistic dream or... some type of technology, maybe? A prank? Humanity evolved... I dunno, 500 years in a few hours to create a virtual reality helmet like this, and they put me on it while I was in a coma? That makes more sense, right?'

'The hell it does! Aw, Shit!'

- griiiit-

'Wait a sec… this noise is…Damn it!'

As I dove into the corpses nearby in despair as my ears picked up the terrifying sound of the upcoming wind.

-VUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-

The wind blew with utmost violence as the giant bird passed; some of the small trees flew into the air and rampaged through the dense forest, branches of the bigger trees bent and twisted, and some even fell into the ground, causing a ruckus among the blue leaves and bushes. Next was the sound of a plethora of different animals and beasts running for their lives in fear of the giant reaper in the sky.

*BA-DUM, BA-DUM, BA-DUM, BA-DUM...

'Dammmmn! That bird really lives up to his name, Hun; that was terrifying.'

'Oh no, I think I just shit myself.'

After checking my pants, I came to the fortunate conclusion that it was not shit but blood from one of the corpses.

*Deep breath

*blaach

'the smell is absolutely disgusting.'

- 10 min later -

'I think I can already get out now.'

After checking through the cracks of my "corpse pool" and making sure it was safe, I emerged to the surface again.

'Let's calm down for now, just in case this is not some type of lucid dream or some type of virtual reality... and getting hit really hard will actually mean stop existing for real this time.'

*deep breath

'I can't scream, no, to be exact; making any type of noise here could be fatal.'

'Time to man up!'

As I got up, the pain came like a wave throughout from my leg to the rest of my body.

''argh-''

'Good, I manage to stand. Now let's see if I can find anything useful from these corpses.'

Seven men, four women, and three children. Well, that's it for the slaves; they didn't have any possessions on their bodies, but still, one of the kids' clothes was in a better state than mine.

So I took it for myself since walking around with the stench of blood in my clothes in such an inhospitable place was not an option.

Next were the bandits. A total of ten had money on them: 3 gold coins, 29 silver, and 15 copper. They had other stuff, like swords, bows, and arrows… but nothing I could use at the moment since everything here was much stronger than a regular male adult could be capable of dealing with, let alone a kid with a broken leg.

'Now I should check the chariot; since they were transporting people, they should have one, right? Yeah, in fact, the horses were probably what took the attention of the birds in the first place, so it's probably close by.'

''arghm-''
