Synopsis
[WSA 2025 Candidate] Chaos and Order—these two forces are the foundation of all existence. The peace of the universe rests upon their balance. Without chaos, there is nothing to bring into order; without order, chaos remains nothing but meaningless randomness. Throughout history, this delicate balance has shaped reality itself. On a smaller scale, chaos appears dominant—unpredictable, untamed, ever-changing. But as we look beyond, to the vastness of creation, order stands firm, imposing its will upon the universe. Yet balance is fragile. And when it is disturbed, the world is forced to change. This is the story of a world where Chaos and Order no longer remain in harmony—where people awaken to powers beyond comprehension. Some wield the raw force of Chaos, bending reality to their will. Others embody the discipline of Order, enforcing structure upon the world. But as factions rise, and the battle between these two forces intensifies, one question remains: Will balance be restored—or will the universe fall into ruin?

~ The Beginning ~

Lance Nueva—a cheerful young man with an insatiable curiosity. His curiosity often leads him to learn new things, sometimes earning him a little money… or getting him into trouble.

Huff... huff... huff...

Did I lose them?

"I can't believe they actually chased me—just because I happened to see something. And I didn't even get a clear look at what they were doing!"

He ducked into a narrow alley, pressing his back against the cold brick wall. His breath came in ragged gasps as he tried to steady himself. The pounding of footsteps echoed in the distance, but they were growing faint.

"Looks like I lost them... for now."

Then, a realization struck like a lightning bolt.

"Wait... my wallet. Where is it?!"

He had run as fast as he could the moment he saw those big men, acting purely on instinct. In his rush, his wallet must have fallen—and they only chased after him to return it, maybe?

He peeked around the corner. The main street was bustling with people—vendors shouting prices, kids running around, workers rushing through their jobs. The usual city chaos.

And among them, a man in a uniform stood, scanning the crowd.

In his hand—Lance's wallet.

"There he is," the men chasing after him shouted.

"...Oh, crap." Lance wanted to disappear that instant.

"Oi, kid! You dropped this." Shouting while pointing at his wallet. "Why're you running? We're just trying to return your wallet, you know?"

Lance blinked. "What?"

"Yeah, you dropped this, then you suddenly bolted like a rabbit." The other old man shook his head. "Honestly, kids these days... always jumping to conclusions."

"Ah, thanks." He felt his ears burn.

"Uh..." Lance scratched his neck. "I can explain."

One of the men crossed his arms. "Oh, this better be good."

He awkwardly laughed. "I, uh... thought you were chasing me because I saw something I wasn't supposed to."

The three men exchanged glances.

"...Like what?"

Lance opened his mouth, then closed it.

Now that he thought about it... what had he seen? Just some people huddled in an alley. Nothing obviously illegal or shady.

Oh no.

Did he really just embarrass himself this badly for nothing?

"Here." The mustached guy sighed and then slapped the wallet into Lance's hands. "Anyway, stop causing trouble for other people, kid. Also, be careful; there might be a sudden dungeon outbreak that could happen anytime."

"Yes, t-thanks again."

With that, the men walked off, leaving Lance standing there, holding his wallet like it was some cursed artifact.

The old fruit vendor who happen to know Lance smirked. "Got yourself worked up over nothing, huh?"

Lance groaned. "Can we just pretend this never happened?"

The old man laughed, tossing him an apple. "Consider it a lesson, young man. Now get going before you embarass yourself more."

Lance sighed, biting into his apple as he walked off.

Well. That could've gone worse.
