Chapter 1 - Prologue.

There was darkness all around.

A thick, endless world of darkness.

There are no senses here, just pure, unbridled darkness.

In this infinite expanse, there was one man floating.

He was slowly disintegrating, first his legs, then his body, then his head.

...

...

...

Heart of the Earth activated.

A single sound echoes endlessly in the void.

"Heart of the Earth."

A man's voice sounds, conjoining the single sound in echoing throughout the void.

"Heart of the Earth, Heart of the Earth."

His voice rings out once again, joining the ongoing echo.

"Heart of the Earth, save me from this everlasting hell!"

Suddenly, a light appears.

Then, it grows,

into something more.

It battles against the void, quickly overtaking the darkness.

The world is now filled with light. Pure, refined light.

The man appears once again. His face is not clear, though he is dressed in white robes matching the infinite light that had appeared.

"Heart of the Earth, Heart of the Earth, please guide me."

His voice reappears, though now it is monotone—without emotion.

There is a chaos.

The man's vows repeat infinitely in the light, and with each word, the chaos intensifies.

"Thou art mine saviour. Through infinity."

You have been reborn in my image. Through you, I breathe, through you, I thrive. My child, what is it that you promised me all those years ago?
