Chapter 1 - The Tale of Loneliness

Reyan had always been alone. Since childhood, he felt like this world was not meant for him. He tried making friends, but no one stayed for long. While other kids played, laughed, and enjoyed their little world, Reyan would sit in a corner, watching them.

As time passed, his loneliness grew. But then, something changed—video games. For the first time, he felt like he was good at something. Through gaming, he made a few friends, people he could talk to, laugh with, and spend hours playing with. For a while, he was happy. But happiness never lasted long for him. Slowly, his friends quit gaming and moved on. Reyan was left alone once again.

Then came Aarushi, his elder sister. She became his support, his best friend. She understood his loneliness when no one else did. For two years, Aarushi was his world.

And then, a girl entered his life. She admired Reyan because he was exceptionally good at gaming. One day, she confessed her feelings—"I really like you." But Reyan had no idea what love even meant. He immediately rejected her because all he wanted was to stay with his sister.

When he told Aarushi about it, she explained—"Reyan, you shouldn't break someone's heart like that. If you can't love her, at least be her friend." Reyan understood and apologized to the girl, accepting her friendship instead.

Over time, they became close friends. For the first time, Reyan felt like maybe his loneliness would finally end. But fate had other plans.

One day, that girl got attracted to someone else. She slowly started ignoring Reyan, stopped talking to him, and eventually disappeared from his life. Once again, Reyan was alone. He realized that he was always just an "option" to people, never a "priority."

Time passed, and this cycle repeated itself. People came into his life, promised friendship, and then left without a second thought. Reyan kept getting betrayed, over and over again.

And then, one day, he completely broke down. He lost all hope. That was the moment he decided—he would become someone who no longer cared whether people stayed or left.

Years went by. Reyan focused entirely on his career, burying his emotions deep inside. He got a job, moved on with life, but deep down, he was still the same lonely Reyan—the boy who once laughed, once cried, but now hid everything behind a cold mask.

The end… or perhaps, a new beginning?
