Prologue:
The Age of Fracture
For centuries, the world stood on the edge of chaos. Kingdoms warred over land, races fought over supremacy, and even the gods turned a blind eye. The balance that once held creation together was unraveling. Fearing the collapse of all things, the rulers of the great kingdoms came together in secret.
Thus, Project Equilibrium was born—a desperate attempt to restore stability before the world was consumed by war. But balance, once lost, is never so easily regained.
Their solution was simple: bind the concept of balance to living beings. Ten newborns, chosen from across the races, would serve as living pillars of order. Each child would be marked with a divine law—an unbreakable truth that all must obey. By enforcing these laws, the world would never again fall into chaos.
The kings believed their plan was perfect. They believed they could control fate. But the gods do not suffer mortals who play with destiny.

The Descent of the God
On the night of the celestial alignment, it descended.
A being beyond comprehension, neither male nor female, neither kind nor cruel. It was a god not of love, nor of war, but of Balance—the eternal force that governs all.
The sky split open, the ground trembled, and every living being, from the mightiest ruler to the weakest child, felt its presence. The kings knelt before it, expecting blessings for their project. Instead, they received judgment.
"You seek to chain balance to flesh?" the god's voice echoed across the world, not in words, but in the very fabric of existence.
"Balance is not yours to command. You cannot bind it. You cannot control it. But if you wish to burden children with the weight of the world, then so be it."
And so, the curse was laid.

The Cursed Ten
One by one, the ten newborns were marked with divine Commandments—absolute laws that would shape their lives and the world around them. Each commandment carried both power and punishment, binding the children to the will of the god.
Kael, the Demon – Truth (Those who lie turn to stone. But he himself can never lie.)
Lysara, the Celestial – Purity (Those who act in lust are paralyzed. But she can never experience deep connections.)
Orin, the Giant – Patience (Those who act in impulse are weakened. But he himself cannot act on emotion.)
Sylphie, the Fairy – Selflessness (Those who act in greed lose all they own. But she herself can never keep anything.)
Dain, the Human – Endurance (Those who flee battle are paralyzed. But he himself is cursed with immortality.)
Raze, the Beastkin – Loyalty (Those who betray an oath suffer pain. But he is bound to anyone he trusts.)
Nyx, the Dragonoid – Silence (Those who reveal secrets lose their voice. But she herself cannot share her true thoughts.)
Vale, the Elf – Justice (The unjust suffer visions of their worst fears. But he himself cannot judge without proof.)
Mira, the Siren – Hope (Those who despair are drained of strength. But she herself can never express sadness.)
Solas, the Human – Humility (The arrogant lose their power. But he himself can never take pride in his actions.)
The kings rejoiced, believing their plan had worked. They saw only the power, not the chains that bound these children.
But the god's voice echoed one final warning:
"You wished for balance, and so balance shall remain. But one day, they will seek to break free. And when they do... your order will crumble."
And then, the god vanished, leaving behind only the silence of fate unfolding.
